Where is the incredibly gay 80's duo thread? Just do a search on "Tears for Fears," and turn left at the corner.

The '70's were a very important decade to me. Graduated high school, attended the AF Academy, became a pilot, got married, had my first child, bought my first house......all in the '70's.
One cool thing that is often overlooked: the music. Too many tend to think of disco, but the '70's had some MAJOR kick-ass rock 'n' roll. Much of what you hear on classic rock stations today was from the '70's. No other decade has equalled it since for sheer output of some killer music.
Aerosmith...Queen.....Allman Brothers.......Doobie Brothers......Deep Purple......Black Sabbath.......Thin Lizzy......Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush........Robin Trower......Boston.........Yes..........Kansas........Bad Company......and of course, the kings of the '70's, Led Zeppelin............on and on and on and on; endless examples

Let's just say Rod needed his stomach pumped after showing his band his best Linda Lovelace impersonation.

I mentioned Jethro Tull Aqualung in a post admitting that the factory 8 track player still worked in my 1977 Coupe de Ville when i sold it in 1999.

You could not have "Battle of the Network Stars" today.
Yes, but the reason for that is because it just isn't BNS without Big Dan Haggerty. Not only does Dan not have a show, but he's in prison or dead too (I didn't bother checking).

"Let's just say Rod needed his stomach pumped after showing his band his best Linda Lovelace impersonation." That is quite politically correct of you. Or at least as decent as it can be explained without angering the mods.

We're Floyd Brothers, then. I still love Meddle, it's in my CD stack for my long drives; I think it gives me flashbacks.
When I played one song for a Korean friend of mine, she just looked at me like I was...well.....on drugs.

And we had the world's greatest governor then too! R.R. I'm only old enough to remember Governor Moonbeam (Brown).

Do you remeber Quisp and Quake cereals? That was likely the late 1960s though!

Some of Johnny's most patriotic music came from the 1970s.
