The '70's were a very important decade to me. Graduated high school, attended the AF Academy, became a pilot, got married, had my first child, bought my first house......all in the '70's.

One cool thing that is often overlooked: the music. Too many tend to think of disco, but the '70's had some MAJOR kick-ass rock 'n' roll. Much of what you hear on classic rock stations today was from the '70's. No other decade has equalled it since for sheer output of some killer music.

Aerosmith...Queen.....Allman Brothers.......Doobie Brothers......Deep Purple......Black Sabbath.......Thin Lizzy......Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush........Robin Trower......Boston.........Yes..........Kansas........Bad Company......and of course, the kings of the '70's, Led Zeppelin............on and on and on and on; endless examples

How can you overlook it when every major city has a rock station jamming it down your throat 24-7?

Of the bands you listed, I only still listen to Queen (the gay ones, I know). You left off ZZ Top. A mortal sin!
