New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Hide! Quick!
The pool? I'd probably run it pretty regularly. You could try without it for a day or so and see if the water gets grungy. I've never had a backyard pool.
I should keep it pruned, I guess. Remember reading something about herbs that are kept pruned are more aromatic or whatever.
goats don't do real well around these parts... too many predators...
course I could use 'em as bait...
talked to some folks the other day... they had 50 goats on 300 acres... after two weeks they were down to a dozen... some got out (and were eaten), others stayed in, (and were eaten)...
but I will say, roasted cabrio is durned tastey...
It worked in Jurassic Park...
Dang... I guess you weren't kiddin' about the whole Ignoramius thing...
:-)
Oh dear...
I was off playing with pens again. Tryin' to write a Bible passage in psuedo calligraphy in hopes I can stick it in my brother's birthday package...but I keep messing up. And now it's about time to sleep. *yawn*
"Spamalot" was terrific. So much 'over the top' acting and singing. We loved it!! And yes, the girls were very surprised. Apparently, Gina had told her daughter that we were going to see "Fiddler on the Roof" and the subterfuge held because the theater showing "Fiddler" was right next door to the Shubert! At the last minute we gave them the tickets and they realized we were going to see it. They had mentioned, when we got to town that they'd love to come back to see "Spamalot" sometime. Heh.
How cool! Glad you're back safe.
Gonna go to bed now. We had a cool end-of-semester relax time. Played a card game, "Chez Geek" - Clare might enjoy it, it's a Steve Jackson game.
Ok...
Good Morning Hobbit Hole! Is it FRIDAY YET?
Requesting final numbers attending by May 15th, though changes are completely acceptable thru ShootMoot.
Soliciting menu requests, special chow requirements so we can have the supplies pre-purchased.
Dinner one nite will be wild game: venison and wild turkey on the grill.
Adult beverage requests are being accepted, or BYOB if'n yer driving. I have 5 gallons of homebrew that should be ready... bourbon, scotch, and Riesling are always available on the Ridge...
Freepmail me your email address if you want a detailed Powerpoint map and MS Word directions to the homestead from the interstate. (Jen, tell me which route yer takin', and I'll get somethin' werked up fer yuh...)
Volunteers are being accepted to coordinate the menu and shopping list... if not, mrsnad will do it... (cuz she ain't here right now tuh protest)
WOO HOO!!!
Woohooo!!!
Woohooowoohooo!
I'm really looking forward to this!
I won't make up a menu, I'm rotten at that even here at home...but I sure will help in the kitchen! Never ask me what to do, just tell me what to do and I'll do it till I drop! ;-)
I sure wish we could make it to shootmoot! I so want to see you all again.
We had friends who recently saw "Fiddler" with Harvey Fierstein. They said he was good, but just didn't have the "heart." It was also an AIDS benefit of sorts. Took an offering after the curtain call.
Then they said, "he's not gay, you know" but that he's a straight actor who plays those roles. Said he talked about his wife.
I dunno...
(g'mornin')
~snif~
I'm gonna hate not bein' there. Wish it coulda worked out.
you'll be too busy fishin'...
me too darlin'...
Where we goin' next year?
Did he say what his 'wife's' name was? If he's straight, then he's a darn good actor!
I can't imagine his gravelly voice doing Tevye, and I've never heard him sing, but then, I've never seen him on Broadway.
I'll be thinkin about y'all that weekend. I'll be wishin we could have been there.
