Discrediting God with the Bible (answersingenesis.org promoting evolution via UFOs)
answersingenesis, Gary Bates ^

Posted on 04/04/2005 9:55:11 AM PDT by Truth666

From AiG

Up-to-date information that every modern Christian must know!

Little green men? Flying saucers? No longer relegated to the lunatic fringe, the search for alien life has taken the world by storm. In this shocking book, UFO researcher Gary Bates exposes truths that will change readers forever. Written with the non-Christian in mind, this book leads the reader inexorably to one conclusion: there is an “intergalactic” battle over the history of life in the universe. Eye-opening insights ... for you and your non-Christian friends! Great pre-evangelism tool.

From the publisher

“One of the most haunting and persistent mysteries of our time”

Program Details

Gary Bates was featured on Art Bell’s nationally syndicated radio program Coast to Coast, hosted by George Noory.

Paranoid schizos are often amazingly logical. Sometimes, you just gotta step back and say 'that's crazy talk, man!'

If you have any idea what you just said with those two contradictory sentences, perhaps you could find a way to say it in understandable terms.

In any case, just taking the first sentence by itself, it's of course true that someone could be babbling total illogic on one subject and be completely lucid on another. Sometimes people have strengths and weaknesses, sometimes uncontrollable emotional urges or bad dreams or whatever might get in the way of thinking rationally about a particular subject, or any number of other explanations.

All in all, however, it doesn't matter. If the initial facts be valid (and those can always be cross-checked), then all that's left is the logic in interpreting those facts. It doesn't matter whether it's Albert Einstein or Jeffrey Dahmer who's providing that interpretation. All that matters is whether the logic is sound. As a right-wing professor who's presumably practiced in critical thinking, you should know that, one would think.

Hogwash.

But we can sure count on the mean-spirited naysayers to

hijack and control 99.9% of the UFO etc. threads.

While they hold themselves out as erudite, 'above-it-all' and otherwise civilized and reasonable sorts of critters.

HO! HO! HO! HAW HAW HAW

THAT! IS quite a joke!

Guess they are terrified we might have an interesting discussion on our own and so they have to squat and drop a load in the middle of the table every durn time.

And if it doesn't stink enough--they have to stir it long enough with enough mean-spiritedness until it does stink.

Only then are they ever seemingly happy.

Odd psychology, that.

Lighten up about 100 pounds, and see me in the morning.

I think Gene Ray said it best:

My wisdom so antiquates known knowledge, that a psychiatrist examining my behavior, eccentric by his academic single corner knowledge, knows no course other than to judge me schizoprenic. In today's society of greed, men of word illusion are elected to lead and wise men are condemned. You must establish a Chair of Wisdom to empower Wise Men over the stupid intelligentsia, or perish.

All hail Gene Ray! I just hope he isn't also the Gene Ray who is CEO of Titan, in which I own stock.

Is this another attempt by the ID'ers to define the "Designer"?

Postulate a female for "designer" and you get some really strange universes.

Use your imagination!

Thanks for that reassurance. For a minute there I thought you were actually trying to articulate a point, and that had me worried.

I thought the Cosmo Kramer quote was a dead giveaway. Not a Seinfeld fan, eh?

No, sorry.

So Cosmo's the first name of that lanky frizzy-haired guy? Now I'm one step closer to being able to fake being a Seinfeld fan.

An argument following the rules of inference is said to be valid. Validity says nothing about truthfulness. A sound argument is a valid argument based upon true premises with true conclusions. Not all conclusions satisfy intuition, but frustrated observations indicate the observer may have exercised arrogance at some point in his thinking.

The only thing crazier than those who occupy insane asylums are those who run the asylum if they ignore truth.
