please for God's sake let's stop the internal bickering and get down to business to see that this type of thing doesn't happen again. Much of the "internal bickering" was over whether Judge Greer did anything wrong at all. There's no point in saying "let's all stop arguing and simply agree with me".
To: Leatherneck_MT
The thing is that we can't consider this fight over. There are some 30,000 others in America in similar condition to Terri's.

No! Let's just waste all of our time and energy blaming everyone and anyone for this tragedy! And let's especially focus the blame on anyone stupid enough to try to help, even though they failed!!! </sarcasm>

Amen. It is the hardest thing to forgive sometimes, but I have confidence that my fellow FReepers can do this!
When was the last time you saw the DUers forgiving ANYONE?

Hear Hear!! Now its time to roll up our sleeves and get to work! We must make sure those two judges Whittemore and Greer are ousted out of power and make sure we get legislation so this thing can never happen again! I understand that alot of the people who were keeping vigil outside the Hospice are disabled people who are scared to death this might happen to them. WE MUST DO IT FOR THEM AND FOR US!

Let's take it out on the judges, where most of the blame belongs. And let's all get behind a murder investigation to dispel the doubts about what really happened here once and for all.

But it isn't. It's only just begun.

The problem is too many people are thinking solely with their emotions and not with their brains. Instead of devoting their energies to fixing the problems that lead us to this point, they'd rather call the President a Nazi, Governor Bush a Nazi, and any member of this forum that doesn't take their view a Nazi.

It's going to take some time for the grief to pass then another bit of time for all the coming Opi to work their way off the forum.
After that things should return to the controlled bickering of two weeks ago.

Agreed. I've been flamed once already this morning on this subject. I didn't let it escalate. What's the point? The flamer is a rube, LOL!
This situation is FAR from over, and you're right that we need to roll up our sleeves and get to work. It's a battle won for the Culture of Death, but they haven't won the whole war; not by a long-shot. :)
