If Terri dies when she could actually be kept alive, and Jeb Bush doesn't use the State Police or the Florida National Guard, or ANYTHING to prevent this travesty, he will be vilified by the democRATS if he ever seeks another office (like the Presidency).
It means nothing that some democRATS are actually trying to keep her alive. The only thing that the MSM will hammer on is that he stood by AS Governor and allowed that poor woman to DIE when he could have prevented it.
The problem with that is the mullahs don't have the actual boots on the ground so to speak, the boots come under the executive branch.
but this thread was about placing the judge "in chains." Not doable unless you want to see our democracy scrapped. I don't and Jeb Bush won't consider it.
Since we don't live in a Demonacracy, but a Republic, I would have to disagree with you. Anyone who thinks that they rule the people of the United States, whether they be a President, an Elected Rep or a thug in black robes, needs to go to jail in chains so that the others are impressed that they do not MAKE laws, they enforce them. Right now we have loose cannons on the bench that are trying to legislate from the bench.
That's just your usual Frist bluster. Lots of wind, no real force though.
OK, nice try, it's a republic. Still governed by the rule of law, and a governor has no right to imprison a judge for giving a decision that (unfortunately) has been upheld by every other state and federal court, especially in light of Congress and the Florida legislature's failure to pass laws to do anything about it. We also can't go deciding that every time a judge makes an unfavorable ruling we are in a dictatorship. However, I sympathize with your concerns about this case and the judiciary.
Dear God in heaven I hope you are right.
WE the people are the final arbiters of what goes in this country, not the courts, nor the legislature.
We either get the courts back in their shackles where they belong or we will rue the day that we gave up our freedoms to these tyrants.
Yes governed by the rule of law, but the laws are made by elected representatives, not some Judge sitting on a bench. Right now Greer is trying to legislate from the Bench by telling the DCF not to enforce state laws. For that he should be arrested and jailed. Damn what every other court says.
I already rue the day we are governed by judges, but I can tell you that much of the judicial interference is based on laws passed by Congress. I've seen all kinds of outrageous court actions taken based on all sorts of well meaning legislation, like the Fair Housing or Americans with Disabilities Acts. And people let them all get away with this every day.
Sadly, you have given me an opportunity for my favorite rant, against wimpy republicans.
Maybe you're right.
You have every right to think so. But I would point out that the Left has done extremely well, managing to acquire a stranglehold on our society -- one that we have barely managed to loosen -- with no prayer whatsoever. I think it is a perfectly fair question whether the Lord really involves Himself in our causes. I suspect He leaves us to our own devices. The evidence of this is around us every day on almost every page of the paper.
So far, the Bush boys are in that class.
If Terri dies on Good Friday, it will not surprise me if there is fire in the sky............FRegards
.
I had no idea that this thread would get so long. It was just my rant against the machine...
"to kill a woman that is, most probably, a victim of conjugal violence"
BIG LIE (based on no facts at all). But I suspect it makes you feel better to spout your lies. Enjoy yourself.
What little moral authority we have regained since invading Iraq is now finally gone. It's over, turn out the lights.
The evidence that He is involved in our lives is written in His Word, and history testifies to this truth. Historian's do not disagree that Christ existed. Those who were not believers only took issue with Jesus' deity.
To say that God is not personally interested or active in our lives simply because immorality is rampant is a weak argument.
I realize that this issue is something you and I will agree to disagree on.
I sincerely wish you a blessed Easter.
Fair enough. Maybe He is interested in our lives, but leaves our nation's life (or death) up to us.
Happy Easter.
You are almost as nuts as this entire media circus orgy has become
Take care Gonzo. Be safe over there.
