Wonder why they would leave that out of her bio?
http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,16097,00.html
I still think it is wrong to put amateurs in with experienced professionals that have previously recorded.
I'm entitled to my opinion. Don't like it? Tough.

The Stones have become a cultural religion. You're saying Bo's career path will mimic the Stones'? I wasn't implying that. My point was Bo is 29, Mick is 69 or whatever. I think Bo has a couple more years left of viability.
To: Always Right
The only reason Mick lasted so long was because of the particular nature of their band in today's society, a religion, as I suggested. You can't bring up Mick unless you think that analogy applies to Bo because they are similarly situated. I don't think you can say they are at all.

Constantine toured with the international production of "Rent," playing the lead character named "Roger." Another professional performer.
Amanda AVILA was a backup singer for Motown legend Smokey Robinson.
And another professional performer.
Bo was a backup singer. Probably lucky if he made $10,000. Anwar has probably made more money than Bo by singing.

Sure you are entitled to your opinion...
Just trying to share information when you are judging one of the performers on something when the other has done pretty much the same.
Not sure why it's not in her bio, but she herself has said it too on the show.

I think what GSC pointing out that while Mick Jagger has had staying power, he has been around forever. Has been very versatile and had his first number one record when he was 22. He and Richards formed the Stones when Jagger was 17/18 years old.

Recordings are a whole new ballgame.
Some of the constestants never stood a chance against the others. This year its like they had two levels of performers. If they do the same thing next year, I won't bother watching. In my opinion, it's better when all the contestants have a chance, instead of sticking a 'ringer or ringers' in there.

I didn't mention the others as they are out already. I did mention Constantine earlier in the thread though.

I'll be "late" to the party tonight! My son has a concert at school so I'll be taping Idol. I'll probably catch the last part of the show and have to vote right away, watch House, and see the Idol tape afterwards.
BTW...I got to see President Bush today. He was in town promoting his Soc Sec program. I was seated 11 rows back so I got a good view of him.
He was great!

This girl won't even make a good Country Western star.
I have friends in that bizz. She won't cut it past a novelty act in a year.

To me, it would depend on how "famous" they are.
Anyone can do a recording now ---- all you need is a few dollars and you can lay down some tracks. Whether it gets any airplay or sells is a completely different story.
If Carrie was on a recording, but not the star, it wouldn't make any difference in the way I feel.
I understand your position on the levels of performers, but just having a recording wouldn't just be the ticket. Just MHO.
To: All
Someone should do a poll thread--Carrie versus Bo.
I'm interested in which person FReepers support most. :-)

Tony, I can't even express how jealous I am that you got to see the President today. And to be so close!
I'm very, very envious of you.
See you when you get here tonight! Best of luck to your son. :-)
