The sixth and final Star Wars movie may not be suitable for young children, film-maker George Lucas has said. He told US TV show 60 Minutes that Revenge of the Sith would be the darkest and most violent of the series.
"I don't think I would take a five or six-year-old to this," he told the CBS programme, to be aired on Sunday.
Lucas predicted the film would get a US rating advising parents some scenes may be unsuitable for under-13s. It opens in the UK and US on 19 May.

the ewoks were originally supposed to be wookies. But lucas went for the "david and goliath" theme with them instead of the wookies, because they wouldnt be a real match for the empire.

Yeah, I can imagine. Drank silver because he was afraid of Y2K. I'm sure he's one of the best they can offer as a "serious" candidate.
That right there is the reason Trekkies annoy the crap outta me. Eh, never liked Star Trek much myself. Give me Star Wars anyday. And of course, of that group, Empire is THE film. Though I must say the new preview for Ep. III looks brilliant.
5 and 6 year olds really shouldn't be taken to most movies, IMNSHO.
Some parents are either clueless or selfish that way.
It amazes me the judgemental attitude of folks who saw a movie when they were 12 declaring that the latest version, written for 13 year olds, is not up to "their standards."
I was in the FIRST audience to pay money to see Star Wars (now known as "A New Hope: Star Wars Episode IV") in a theater.
Anywhere.

The new films are equal to, or better than, the original films. That IS NOT A QUESTION OPEN TO DEBATE.
We have grown up and want our fantasies to grow up with us.

When all nine films (Yes, 9) are done our grandchildren will look back at them and pass final judgement.
Enjoy them for what they are, todays equivelant of the old Saturday morning serials of the 30s. If you can't understand that then I don't care what you think about MY MOVIES.

Of course it is 'open to debate.' Maybe not in North Korea, though.
