I had an abortion 4 years ago and it is killing me

I had 3 children, the youngest at the time was 16 months. I accidentally became pregnant. We were living in a small 2 bedroom trailor. It was a nice mobile home but where was I going to put a new baby!

I was so sad about it. I put the abortion off to the the last 2 days and I became a drinker to end the pain. A cold 6 packy a day!

Well I am sober now for one week. I have had severe anxiety attacks since last june. I have no insurance. My hubby is self employed and getting insured is impossible.

Yesterday I bought a health plan from United American Health Care. For $139.00 A month it covers all 5 members in our house hold. We pay half the doctor visits etc and get reimbursed the rest.

Pray for me I don't want to drink any more. I have been buying meds form international pharmacies and it is very expensive. Probably illegal too.

Not a day goes by that I think about my baby I threw in the trash. I hate myself and I hope God forgives me. Cause I can't forgive myself.

I had a girlfriend have an abortion in 1982.  I don't blame her, she did what she had to do.

I've never forgotten this and often think about it.  There are some things you just never get over.

I hear you and agree with your reasoning. But I just reread her post three more times and it just sounds suspicious. And if it is a bogus story, then I don't like someone using the pain and anguish of others to get a little laugh for themselves.

Hi. The suggestions to call some post abortion counselors are right on. I would bet that ANYONE you talk to there HAS BEEN IN YOUR SHOES, and I think what you need is HOPE! HOPE that you can be at peace, be happy, and to be able to forgive yourself and stop hating yourself -- and stop having a screen name that lets us know how much pain you're in.

I believe your child is with the Lord, and you can always ask the Lord to tell your child how you are feeling now (He probably already has) and to ask your child's forgiveness. And ask the Lord to let you know you are forgiven, and then, honey, you need to forgive yourself. Confess and forsake, get your past to the cross, and that's all the Lord requires. He loves you.

What possible motive would she have for lying about something like this?

What possible motive did Bogdan_polska have for lying about his child's high fever, his brother's service in Iraq, or his wife's tragic death? (All in the same week, I believe).

"God is blessing for America! Bogdan love George Bush!"

I hate to say it but I have the same feeling.

Perhaps this person is just trying to make an example of how bad abortion can be - but if that's a lie, it's still a sin.

If it's real, I indeed would echo what others have said here that God forgives, and prayers for her condition.

Yesterday was my B_day and I guess that triggered my bad feelings. I forgive all who don't believe me.

For of all, you have my prayers. I also pray that God and His Son, Jesus, can help you come to terms with your pain. Professional counseling is also a good thing, and will help you come to terms with your past. Above all, know that we are all sinners and can find forgiveness in the love of Jesus Christ.

I wish I could believe your story, but I don't.

Agree.

I drove a college friend to get an abortion because she had no one else to turn to. I tried talking her out of it but the choice was hers. I still live with that ride to the clinic...

"I believe your child is with the Lord,"

You know what? I think I can verify that aspect. This is slightly off-topic, cuz it's not abortion-related, but same effects.

My best friend of 25 years was trying to have a baby starting several years ago. To get to the chase on that, she's had several miscarriages before finally having her (adorable) baby boy.

I remember her telling me of her 1st miscarriage after it. I talked to her a little later.

My friend is not AT ALL a religious person; she's never been raised w/any real respect even for church-going or anything, and often seems to make fun of or characterize certain religious people in stereotypical ways.

On the phone, she told me she had had a dream after the miscarriage. In it she was in a bare light room with a light doorway; nuns came through. 1 nun came directly to her and told her not to worry or get too upset, that God has her baby.

I don't recall more details, but that was the gist of it as it was very short and simple.

This coming from my friend was a shock to me - and even through several more miscarriages, she never got really upset.

You can believe the promise of God's forgiveness upon your asking and repentence. Only One Man lived on this earth without sin. We all fall short.

Furthermore, lay your guilt at the foot of the Cross. Jesus will comfort you. He knows your heart and awaits you with open arms.

Rest in His love and let him help you through all your struggles. You are in many prayers today.

Our prayers are never wasted. I agree that it is not good for a person to give a bogus story to get sympathy...but if that is what is happening, then it is the poster who is lying that will be subject to the discipline from God.

If we pray for her, and her story is true, then we follow the rules of God by showing compassion for another. If we pray for her and her story is a lie...we are still following Gods will in showing compassion, so God will look on us with favor!

It is never a waste of time to go to God in prayer!! :)
