A man cooking in his kitchen was shot after one of his cats knocked his 9mm handgun onto the floor, discharging the weapon, Michigan State Police said. Joseph Stanton, 29, of Bates Township in Iron County, was shot in his lower torso around 6 p.m. Tuesday, the state police post in Iron River reported. He was transported to Iron County Community Hospital. Michelle Sand, a spokeswoman at the Iron River hospital, said Stanton was treated there before being transferred to Marquette General Hospital for further treatment. But Marcie Miller, a representative of the Marquette facility, said there was no record of the hospital receiving a patient by that name. A telephone message seeking comment was left Wednesday at Stanton's home. State police said he was cooking at his stove when the cat knocked the loaded gun off the kitchen counter behind him.

Yep....even Pudge will tell you that Kitties are
NOT supposed to be around handguns! Their little paws have problems with the safeties and what not. :-)

I've had cats kill computers I was working on twice. They ignore the computers the rest of the time, let me pop the lid to work on something and its like a cat magnet.

Make sure you thoroughly wash your hands and ground them on the PC case before even opening the computer up to work on it.
The residual electromagnetic static from petting a cat lingers for as long as ten minutes.

That adds a whole new dimension to cats training their owners humans. When the cat tells you to do something, he doesn't mean whenever you get around to it.

Cats are vengeful little sh*ts at times. My friend's cat has sprayed everything I own. I'm staying temporarily, until probate is finished. I make numerous trips to the laundromat (at 1.25 a load just for the wash!)at least 2 times a week, as my washer and dryer are in storage.
Now that the snakes are out of hibernation, I can move from the living room, where Fluffy ruined the couch with a bladderblast, to the bedroom which has a door. That couch is toast :(
