Again, neither do I, but he mentions them over and over, day after day, and regular listeners already know the drill...

but there are times when I find that Sean hasn't done his homework on issues and misses alot of opportunities to make a point.

BINGO! I would name one, but it'll start a flamewar, but you have hit the nail on the head. It's infuriating for someone so informed and connected to either get cold-feet or go PC on issues that need public flogging.. JMHO>

Hannity is a lightweight. I don't dislike him, but I don't listen to him because he keeps making the same damn points over and over. If he mentioned Donna Brazil saying "We're not gonna let the white boys win" one more time my damned head was gonna explode. And he is second only to O'Reilly in his pimping of his chotchkes.

Again, I don't dislike him, but he's boring, the cardinal sin of commentators (along with lying).

I'm not sure that he did sell us out selfishly. I think he's been disappointed that a place that should be home to him also, isn't. Would you feel at home in a place that made fun of your IQ, of your home life, of your career, of your books, and so on? I sure wouldn't.

I liked Sean. I listened to him every day. I saw more support and defense of him here than criticism. Of course he got flack! We ALL get flack! Such is the nature of the beast.

Eat our own? I have been BBQ'ed, fricasse'd, saute'd, flambe'ed, stewed, brewed, toasted, roasted, battered, fried and hung out to dry--- before coming here. You can't have a thin skin here or anywhere on the net.

Is he stupid? No, but he does stupid things, and since he makes his living in the public eye representing 'us' and our beliefs, we have a right to comment.

Anyhow, it wasn't that he made an off the cuff, one liner like "I don't go there anymore" and let it go. He kept talking, and kept talking and kept talking. Making it pretty clear that while he hasn't been here in a while, he is happy to parrot someone else's bitterness.

I really hope that 'one' individual was worth losing the respect of many of us here, myself included. Even worse to me (and the most disgusting) was that he slammed us to promote his site!

We must be channeling each other today. I was just thinking that he's trying to emulate McCain, but he doesn't have the panache, or the craziness, if you will. At the very least, he wants to do what is necessary to get face time.

Well, I don't see it as so terrible. He personally thought it has too many discussions bogged down by nastiness (and I know he himself has been personally insulted on here). I know sometimes some threads do get out of hand. But I find too many decent discussions, decent people and too intriguing (cuz I can't keep my mouth shut on many issues) to think of giving it up. I guess Hannity has a different view. Heck, he's a major personality and he gets insulted; I don't as a rule, cuz I'm far from his stature to be insulted.

Of course, good luck to him thinking any forum can stay purely civil for long when it has enough people on it.

Perhaps. He's quite human, though, as we all are. And FR is very public now too, and should be able to rise above the fray if being public suddenly gives you thick skin. I personally don't think it does.
