100 Years? Are you serious. Shanley should have been locked up for life by the way. What a slap on the wrist he got.

This is outrageous. He only got 15 years? Though this sounds crude, I'd also point out that those she abused had to be "interested" to make the act possible.

You know what you call a Steelers fan who has sex with his teacher?
Home schooled.
As for your observation, no it does not make sense. Different states, different laws I suppose.

I would like the hot teacher to force herself on me. It might cause me some trauma, but I'm strong and would learn to cope with it. Repeatedly if necessary.

Maybe the wrong source is quoted for Shanley's sentence.
It was probably two guards talking.
Guard #1, "So how many days you think Shanley will last?"
Guard #2, "15 max."

Because she is pretty, what she did is OK?
They both deserve 100 years.

I wouldn't call her smokingly hot. Just my humble opinion though.
It does seem a bit "unfair", but keep in mind that's all she's *facing*, that probably won't be what she eventually gets. She'll probably do maybe at the most 5 years, with a suspended sentence tacked on for the rest.

Other than the different jurisdictions, here's a lib conspiracy theory to explain it:
The priest makes the Church look bad, so they slap his wrist.
The teacher makes the education establishment (ie, the gubbmint) look bad, so she gets the book thrown at her.
As theories go, it's another one.

I watched the sentencing hearing for Paul (former priest) Shanley. The judge was precise on this point, as required by a Supreme Court decision just handed down. Although it may be clear that Shanley has probably abused dozens of boys over many years, he was sentenced ONLY for the crimes against one boy (now man) which were proven and on which he was convicted.
If that outcome distresses you, take it up with your Senators on the subject of appointing judges and Justices who will obey and apply the law, rather than rewrite and twist the law to suit their fancies. In short, the premise of your post is incorrect. Shanley beat the rap for most of his crimes.

That's rediculous. I hope that guy is killed in jail by the other prisoners.

Facing and getting are two different worlds.
I bet she ends up on probation and has to visit the prosecutor and judge on a regular basis.

Another comparison for your consideration...
I was watching the morning news today and the crawler at the bottom of the screen read (and one right after the other):
1. Woman who ripped arms off of her baby will not be tried because she's mentally unfit.
2. Man convicted of animal cruelty when his starving dog was found eating carcases in th back yard. Will serve 2 days in jail.
