Quitting Post Question

Posted on 02/09/2005 6:33:03 PM PST by Quick_Rod

How does a registered forum member go about closing out/canceling their registration?

Although I wasn't here much I am spending to much time online and I no longer wish to post anywhere on the net so I need to know how to do this?

The physical symptoms subsided after a couple weeks. It made me hurry home faster to get my fix. Family had to have special permission to enter the Sanctum FReeptorum (AKA dad's office/dog house) and did so with great trepidation. My wife started emailing me at work asking for appointments to discuss pressing issues because she couldn't get the time otherwise.

My company recently issued me a laptop. Now I have a network line strung across the living room so I can FReep, watch TV and (sorta) interact with the family.

Still kills me when I know something is happening in the news during the work day and I can't get on the Live Thread to follow it.

That is wrong on so many levels. I think I'll go have a glass of milk or something.

I am NerdDad's oldest son. At 20 years old, I'm just now starting to really pay attention to the news. I don't get to read FR much but I do read it when I have the time. Most of my time spent on my computer is spent playing Everquest 2. For those of you that don't know Everquest 2 is a massive online multiplayer game played by some 130,000 people nationwide. NerdDad gets to freep all he wants without being nagged by anyone in the family, however, if I spend too much time on EQ2 I get in trouble ...... I just don't see the fairness in this.

If he can be addicted to FR why can't I be addicted to EQ2? :)

Who was that cat years ago that gave the big opus when he was only a member for a few months, and kept coming back critisizing everyone's comments??

Doug, I busted out laughing at your tagline.

We have similar tagline tastes.

Guess where I am planning a vacation in June or July? Yep, Cape Cod. I am already arguing with Mrs. DFU. I want to take a neckbrace, rent a 1968 Oldsmobile, and get a picture of me on the bridge at Chappaquiddick holding a bottle of booze. She thinks we are going on vacation. Wait until she sees what I want to do in front of Barney Frank's office.

Doug, YOU ROCK!!

That is a very cool idea. Just show Mrs. DFU this note--she'll realize that you are indeed a genius, and she will then wholeheartedly support you.

If I see you post a song about sleeping in the doghouse tonight, I'll know it didn't work.

(Small point--you need a 1967 Oldsmobile rather than a '68.
Historical accuracy means extra points...)

I've seen differing versions about the year of the car. If I ask Snopes, will they tell me the truth? :)

Can a Boston area FReeper be of any help in arranging a 1967 Olds for a little photo op? I have called around and don't think I have any chance of renting one for the day.
