The physical symptoms subsided after a couple weeks. It made me hurry home faster to get my fix. Family had to have special permission to enter the Sanctum FReeptorum (AKA dad's office/dog house) and did so with great trepidation. My wife started emailing me at work asking for appointments to discuss pressing issues because she couldn't get the time otherwise.
My company recently issued me a laptop. Now I have a network line strung across the living room so I can FReep, watch TV and (sorta) interact with the family.
Still kills me when I know something is happening in the news during the work day and I can't get on the Live Thread to follow it.
LOL!
I am NerdDad's oldest son. At 20 years old, I'm just now starting to really pay attention to the news. I don't get to read FR much but I do read it when I have the time. Most of my time spent on my computer is spent playing Everquest 2. For those of you that don't know Everquest 2 is a massive online multiplayer game played by some 130,000 people nationwide. NerdDad gets to freep all he wants without being nagged by anyone in the family, however, if I spend too much time on EQ2 I get in trouble ...... I just don't see the fairness in this.
If he can be addicted to FR why can't I be addicted to EQ2? :)
