She may be well qualified to be the next President, but has anyone else noticed that little quiver in her voice? It just does not build a sense of security.
She may need some bombast lessons from Ted Kennedy.
I don't know why you're attacking me. I'm not the one that brought this up. Make sure you're responding to who you intend to respond to. Condi is a great sec of state, will go down in history as one of the greatest, imho.
Race relations have come a long way, but not that much.
I believe you are to pessimistic. I for one plane to vote for her should she decide to run, which I hope she does
Not that all people think like me, but I would vote for her over Hillary Clinton.
It's a volcano trying not to erupt.
Well that would work too, but I meant to say "greater problem" :)
Either way, I agree.
I've given up, but everytime someone would start a "Condi '08" thread, I used to ask what her position on abortion was, exactly, in her own words.
That nobody knows troubles me less than that so few care. Even if it's not an issue to you, if anyone thinks it's not an issue to the GOP base, he's got another think coming.
Dan
I don't think so either, and I suspect those who suggest it is a problem are projecting from their own racist view. It's akin to saying "I've got lots of black friends, I'm not a racist". Now they say "America is not ready for a black President, but I'm not a racist!"
And BTW, on the race issue:
Right or wrong, shallow or deep, I think that negative racism in her case might be balanced out by a reverse, positive racism. There'd be a certain "cool factor" to being able to say that you support an (A) black (B) woman for President, to many folks.
Dan
What a pathetic and nitpicky thing to post.
I haven't heard any 'quivering' in her voice.
You must be trolling.
Condi described herself as "reluctantly pro-choice". She can amend that position and get my support.
Interesting anecdote: I am taking a class on Comparative Politics, and the professor asked the class if we thought a female could be elected president and who might we suggest. Well, one person said "Hillary" to which almost the entire class booed. I suggested Condoleeza and there was a very positive reaction. Oddly enough, the one loud objection was from a black male. Go figure.
Sniff. Hmmmm. I'd say ozone, with a strong overtone of sulphur. Sniff. A hint of asafetida, and a floral note or two. Sniff. Definitely a floral note, pansy...
Yeah, maybe she can swap him for some driving or swimming lessons...
Could it be that Condi is taking a page from the President's Playbook on "Strategery", pinz?
Allowing others to "Misunderestimate" her? As the Dems and Left have misunderestimated her boss for years?
Jack.
Boy, you're busy today! I love these.
Don't you need a license to be that stupid?
