The quiver in Condi's Voice
Posted on 02/09/2005 9:20:07 AM PST by atchoo2
She may be well qualified to be the next President, but has anyone else noticed that little quiver in her voice? It just does not build a sense of security.
She may need some bombast lessons from Ted Kennedy.

You're treading a fine line with this line of thought here.

She's black. She'll could never be elected let alone nominated.
Race relations have come a long way, but not that much.

I'd rather listen to her than the nails on chalkboard screeches from Hillary.

Okay then, I give up. Condi gets a quiver in her voice from time to time. Guess that rules her out. Where do I go to write-in Hillary? You know, she of the dull, fingernails-scratching-across-the-chalkboard monotone?
Jesus.

The Secretary is a world class person on a new stage; how would you like to go to work the first week and have every word you stated and every move you made photographed and analyzed by the world press? Me thinks your voice may quiver a bit too, lets give her a little time.
To: atchoo2
She's just gone around the world in a couple of days. Her voice is shaky now because she needs sleep.

Would the missing noun in your sentence be "difficulty"?

Really - I don't think her race is really a factor anymore. Jesse Jackson's problem wasn't his race - it was his views. I wouldn't be surprised to see Condi - if teamed with a pro-lifer - WIN in 2008.
