~The Dragon Flies' Lair~XVII~
January 9, 2005 | bentfeather and Poets of The Lair

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Can we write them hearts,
hand out little baked tarts
can we hold our Valentine
in our mind 'til the end of time

Can we tell them well, I love you now
tomorrow as well, and stay your heart with me
dear one, hold me close, let me hear you say,
I am your Valentine today!

Thank you Samwolf :)

I do enjoy all of your daily finds.

I find it always so fascinating how we can all can look at the same scene and each one will see things the other might not or may never will.

Like walking the shore line.

My cousin flew in last summer from the Mid West.

I live in a land where Eagles fly and nature abounds. We were in Homer Alaska walking the shore lines. We were both looking down as our feet moved along. We both saw the same beach rocks, walking, talking, stopping, stoopng to collect treasures the sea had brought in. It was low tide.

When we sat on a log to compare our treasures, her collection was totally different than mine.

She had several solid gray rocks in the shape of hearts, all sizes. The others were little colored stones of moss green and some that looked like red clay.

Mine were oval with thin white crosses or white string bands around them, some were all white.

She loved mine and I loved hers. The contrast was so interesting of what we both saw or chose to see, yet not fully appreciated until shared with someone, or others.

Your post today was shared was share with so many today, even beyond here, and each day is new.

I am just thankful to see your

`daily finds` :-)

A friend once told me that many people are used to tend a garden and that it matters not, what each one does;

sowing, weeding, watering, fertilizing, as all are needed to allow things to grow.

He said sometimes we don`t get to see the harvest of our work, but then,

`sometimes we do` :)

* enjoy!

Crowfoot,Blackfoot warrior and orator..... What is Life? It is the firefly in the night. It is the breath of the buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.

Thank you bentfeather !

I am able to hear only 30 seconds of music and his voice, but a true gift Texas Songwriter is. Any ears will be blessed to hear.

Is his music available on CD?

Such pleasing and beautiful music with a soothing voice.

Thank you.
