My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Bein' A Cowboy
A storm came up tht night,
Threw a tree across the fence.
Those Bremmer cows took a look
And walked right out again.
So I saddled up and called the dogs
So I could get 'em in.
It ain't fun bein' a cowboy,
But its all I've ever been.
It ain't fun bein' a cowboy,
But it's all I've ever been.
Hangin' gates and mendin' fence
And mendin' bones to start again.
But then again there's mornins'
When you wake up on the right side of the fence.
It ain't fun bein' a cowboy,
But then again, sometimes it is.
Like when springtime brings the baby calves,
And the buds are on the trees;
And the warmin' earth prepares itself
To let the seeds break free.
When clothes ahangin' on the line
Smells like rays of sun to me
When those days come it brings to mind,
A cowboys all I want to be.

NOW.....is but a second, half gone before it can be acknowledged. Old Age.....is but the ripening of youth for eternity. We.....are the golden leaves blending into an autumn haze.

Prayers to Eastern Stars
Are prayers to Eastern stars safety in the night... keeping dreams safe from terror loneliness at bay... Will these prayers cover lovers walking through... the night and night flying birds of prey who cannot hunt by light of day?
When there are no moon or stars to light the path are we blessed by them without wrath? If we stay in Milky Way Streams will moon beams gleam?
If we weave the fabric tight of silver string and heavenly light to easy the path... for our flight Will Eastern Stars shine bright for us who walk the endless ebony night?

Who said? "Boredom is a vital problem for the moralist,
since at least half the sins of mankind
are caused by the fear of it."
Hint: published a large number of books on
logic, the theory of knowledge
Bertrand Russell argued that "Boredom is a vital
problem for the moralist, since at least half
the sins of mankind are caused by the fear of it."

The Psalmist David
The Psalmist David, a shepherd he,
did play his harp at darkest night
for company...
Long lonely night under
cold starry skies
moved psalmist David to
sing the Psalms.
Rhymes of God did he sing
written down for the eons
to come...
Songs of comfort
of easing agony
of being human...
The burden it brings...
of lonely times within
ourselves
we cry out
to the skies
for proof we must have
...we are not alone.

Lines to Robert Burns, Year 2002
Tis' true this day in halls
of ivy covered walls..
as in the days of
Robert Burns...
They stick their
snobby noses high
toward little poets
such as I...
In a world of
published literati...
they ask where's
your portfolio?
your revered reviews?
Who have you rubbed
elbows with or
raised a wine glass to?
What publishers
do you know...
surly, you must have
an agent handling
those things for you?
On and on it goes
climbing ever higher.
The literary group,
noses' touching the clouds
have no truck with rhymers
who may be down
on their luck...
But pushing the limits
every day
rhyming , rhyming...
without pay

Just a while ago, I came in from
Just a while ago, I came in from
the Garden of My Delights,
Fiddle Head ferns now reach
towering heights...
And from East Hill
high above me
the chimes from the tower
ring, music into the Garden
of My Delights!
I scrubbed the lawn
furniture shiny white,
sat to rest a minute
caught the sun
on my face and hands,
and joyfully listened
to the ancient chimes
peal out glad tunes
This is my memory from
childhood... when visits
to the city in summers
always ended with ice cream
cones and chimes.

ALWAYS.....In amber flames of burning logs, Or nights bathed by transparent fog. In rain quenched meadows; or sun rays; Or budding dreams of future days. A name, a face within me stays.
