Are prayers to Eastern stars
safety in the night...
keeping dreams safe
from terror
loneliness at bay...
Will these prayers
cover lovers
walking through...
the night
and
night flying
birds of prey
who cannot hunt
by light of day?

When there are
no moon or stars
to light the path
are we blessed
by them without
wrath?
If we stay in
Milky Way Streams
will moon beams
gleam?

If we weave
the fabric
tight of
silver string
and
heavenly light
to easy
the path...
for our flight
Will Eastern Stars
shine bright for us
who walk the endless
ebony night?
