JULIA ROBERTS' classic turn as a prostitute in PRETTY WOMAN has picked up another accolade - the best 'Chick Flick' of all-time.
The 1990 film, which also starred RICHARD GERE, beat THELMA + LOUISE and LOVE STORY to the top spot in a new book, THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO CHICK FLICKS.

I think Chicken Run did have Mel Gibson as the rooster. So I could see lotsa chicks watching it!
I take it as a good sign that I hate all these movies,that I have seen. I agree with you on Sabrina but because of Bogie not Hepburn.
Sabrina is a chick flick? No no, Bogie is in prime form in that picture.
Audrey Hepburn, though? Ugh. Not a fan.
The story of a whore with a heart who finds romance with a rich man who frequents prostitutes?
I would think that most women would be insulted by this selection.
My wife tells me that Sleepless in Seattle belongs on that list, along with An Affair to Remember.
My wife has seen "Sleepless in Seattle" and "Sense and Sensibility" about 20 billion times.
Where's "Steel Magnolias" and "Terms of Endearment" ?
And the great "women's pictures" of the 40's.

I've only ever seen one of those movies. Apparently I'm a failed chick or a movie disadvantaged chick or whatever they might call it.
What? No "Bridges of Madison County"?
I remember Al Bundy being dragged kicking a screaming to a special screening of the director's cut, with an additional 45 minutes of footage not seen in the theaters. LOL.
Did you do this wrong? Was this the list of "top ten TRASHY-chick flicks"?
I'm pretty sure my wife would disagree with some, or all, of this list.

the term chick flick irks me no end. i am not defined by my gender. besides, sad sappy movies make me bawl and then i get a headache. i steer clear of them!
