Treat the Earth well. It was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children.

or we could try cleaner fuel burning vehicles, recycle our trash more often, and rely on reusable, clean sources of energy like sun, wind, water, etc. I think it's more of an issue of motivation and less about money. Once our leaders are motivated to make changes then we will become less dependent on foreign energy and a much cleaner place to live I think. Your thoughts?

The status of the earth is that it is here. One volcano spews out more "greenhouse" gasses than all industry and automobiles combined. Guess your gaia is commiting suicide. Global warming is bunk science and a figment of commie environ wackos imagination. With that said, we do need to be good stewards of the land and ocean. Ranchers and farmers take better care of their property that radicle environmentalists. It belongs to them not the wackos. Therefore they take good care of it to pass on to their posterity. You socialist types want to tell them what they can and cannot do with their own property. Finally, there is no world community. That is imaginary. Freedom loving people are not communing with communists and tyrants, foreign or domestic. Tell you what, I'll leave your property alone if you leave mine alone.

Outlaw volcanoes and termite mounds. They're the main culprits.

what once was a good well intentioned movement was taken over by anti-capitalist socialists, who want to use the environmental movement as a way to bring down companies,...

So true! So true! I'd add, and stop any sort of development, roads, techical advancement...

Have you looked into becoming Amish?

From dawn to dusk, working the fields, tending the flocks, manually pumping cold water from the well for a bath in winter -

- could you handle this level of existance, away from your warm, paid-for dorm room?

Treat the Earth well.

That much I can agree with.

It was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children.

Neither. It was given to us by God, to be wise stewards of (contra the environmental wackos), to have dominion over (contra the animal-rights nuts), and to be fruitful and multiply on ((contra the abortionists and birth-control "population bomb" alarmists).

I appreciate the beauty of God's creation and want to preserve it (within reason), but I worship the Creator not the creation.

It is 4 degrees outside this early in december in Ohio.

Dang, we were 74 degrees warming than that here today. I don't miss it back there.

"I'm actually not a socialist" You are probably just misguided because of your socialist teachers. Think for yourself.

Do you feel global warming is a real threat?

Not at all.

We are more threatened by environmental wackos forcing their junk science down our throats.

Virtually every conservative on this site will tell you we have an obligation to preserve the environment for our children.

That means to have good business practices, clean up after ourselves and leave things in better shape after you are done with them.

The USA has the absolutely best record in the world on pollution. We make the most and clean up after ourselves the best.

Welcome to FR and stop reading that mind damaging liberal wacko environmental crap.

This is horse bunk! There is no credible evidence of the greenhouse effect whatsoever. We've got weather temperature data that dates to what, 130 years? That sample population is supposed to represent the billions of years of weather patterns this earth has?!?

We should drill for oil in Alaska. We are smart enough to do that without fouling the environment there. Do you think we are smart enough to do that? Your thoughts?

What motivation are you suggesting?

Which leaders need motivation?

How will we be less dependent on foreign energy?

It's a topic that I'm interested in and that I thought people on here could benefit by discussing it. I respect your opinions but i'm not joking

As the keeper of the rights, farms, environment ping list, I can assure you this topic is greatly discussed on this forum. We not only discuss it but actively fight your kind. If you want to see our discussions you can do a search on my handle or use the key words, propertyrights, climatechange, etc.
