Currently, perhaps none, but if the need was felt for that, I would think the technology could be developed to provide that. Perhaps some combination of a normal X-RAY and this technology. My point is that if it became urgent for body cavities to be searched, then I would suspect that technology, perhaps technology similar to this would be utilized before cavity searches.

If we are really serious about terrorist bringing on small amounts of explosives onto aircraft, why would we not conduct a thorough search of people boarding the aircraft?

If the bad guys *know* we are *not* conducting body cavity searches, wouldn't they just hid it there?

After Ms. Terrorist gets her breast groped by TSA, and boards the plane, could she not go to the restroom and pull out the explosives, and detonate them at 30,000 feet?

Look, I am been doing this as a real business for years. EOD stands for Explosive Ordnance Disposal. We use to do all the bomb disposal work for the USSS, FBI and local police. What you are asking for is quite impractical, there are certain risk you just have to take. The only way to stop terrorist is to take the war to the terrorist. Some will get through and Innocent people will die. They have been doing it for years. But what you want will shut the industry down and the terrorist win.

No because the searches are about other kinds of weapons.

If you want to prevent bombs from getting on planes you use bomb sniffing dogs which is exactly what they do use.
