Blonde jokes are set to be banned in Hungary after blonde women staged an angry protest outside parliament.
The protestors handed in a petition claiming they were being discriminated against in every walk of life by bad taste blonde jokes.
And spokeswoman Zsuzsa Kovacs said: "Blondes face discrimination in the job market, in the workplace when they get a job, and even on the streets.
"People are banned from discriminating against Jews, or blacks, so why not grant blondes the same protection."
The petition was handed to the equal opportunities minister Kinga Goncz asking her to investigate whether jokes about blondes fall into the same category as religious discrimination.
The petition was just short of the 100,000 needed to force Parliament to debate the matter but Goncz's deputy who spoke to the crowd pledged the government would act to stop any discrimination.
Blondes - real and bleached - protested outside the ministry as the petition was handed in, waving banners with slogans like 'We're blonde, not stupid' and Love us for our minds.

This is exactly why there should be no special protections for anyone.
This is old news. Many EU countries banned them a couple of years ago. :) Most EU countries banned "sexist jokes" around the same time.
Space travel available for the public. People making plans to go to the moon,mars etc. The blond announced she was going to the sun. People questioned if she knew how hot the sun was. Her reply" Helllllo, I'm going to go at night! Duh".
A blonde Democrat Poll Worker in Florida decides to try horseback riding
on her way to work even though she has had no
lessons or prior experience.
She mounts the horse unassisted and the horse immediately springs into
action.
It gallops at a rhythmic pace, but the blonde Democrat Poll Worker
begins to slip from the saddle.
Terrified, she frantically grabs for the horse's mane, but is unable to
get a firm grip. She tries to throw her arms around the
horse's neck, but she slides down the side of the horse anyway.
The horse continues to gallop along, seemingly ignorant of its slipping
rider. Finally, unable to get a firm grip on the horses neck
or mane, the blonde Democrat Poll worker attempts to leap from the horse
and throw herself to safety.
Unfortunately, her foot becomes entangled in the stirrup.
She is now at the mercy of the horse's pounding hooves as her head is
struck against the ground over and over and over again.
As her head is battered against the ground, she is mere moments away
from unconsciousness and sure death when to her great
fortune...out of nowhere, charges Bobby, the Wal-Mart greeter who sees
her dilema and unplugs the horse.
The blonde Democrat Poll worker picks herself up off the floor, fails to
thank Bobby, files an incident report at Wal-Mart, and
goes off to assist Democrat voters at the poll.
I bet your computer screen has lots of white-out on it.

This is weird, but it's genuine news, NOT a hoax. In fact, I saw it on FoxNews, then I looked for it on the web, and found it on Ananova.
I put it into extended news, I figured that was appropriate.
Now it's been banished into never-never land, even though as I said -- well, if FoxNews spent a minute on it, wouldn't it be OK for extended news?
Ananova is a perferctly legit news site, they just also report the odd-ball news. As I said, it was good enough for FoxNews...
