(Vanity) Civil War?
Posted on 11/18/2004 8:21:08 PM PST by fo0hzy
How angry are the blue-staters? Can you conceive or imagine a civil war within the next 50 years? One only needs to peruse the DU to understand the depth of their hatred.
I want to be a uniter, not a divider.
If that doesn't work... *evil cackle*

Of course, this applies to the "Republic of Texas," but since Texans have big hearts, we will share with the other red states as they will share with us. Screw the blue states.
1. NASA is just south of Houston, Texas and Florida has Cape Canaveral. We will control the space industry.
2. Texas refines over 85% of the gasoline in the United States.
3. Defense Industry--we have over 65% of it. The term "Don't mess with Texas," will take on a whole new meaning.
4. Oil - we can supply all the oil that the Republic of Texas will need for the next 300 years. Blue states? Sorry about that.
5. Natural Gas - again we have all we need and it's too bad about those Blue states. The Blue States will figure out a way to keep themselves warm....
6. Computer Industry - we currently lead the nation in producing computer chips and communications--small places like Texas Instruments, Dell Computer, EDS, Raytheon, National Semiconductor, Motorola, Intel, AMD, Atmel, Applied Materials, Ball Semiconductor, Dallas Semiconductor, Delphi, Nortel, Alcatel, etc, etc. The list goes on and on.
7. Medical Care - We have the largest research centers for cancer research, the best burn centers and the top trauma units in the world, as well as other large health centers. Dallas has some of the best hospitals in the United States.
8. We have enough colleges to keep us going: University of Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Rice, SMU, University of Houston, Baylor, UNT (University of North Texas), Texas Women's University, etc. Ivy grows better in the South
anyway.
9. We have a ready supply of workers. We could just open the border when we need some more.
10. We have essential control of the paper industry, plastics, insurance, etc.
11. In case of a foreign invasion, we have the Texas National Guard and the Texas Air National Guard. We don't have an Army, but since everybody down here has at least six rifles and a pile of ammo, we can raise an Army in 24
hours if we need one. If the situation really gets bad, we can always call the Department of Public Safety and ask them to send over Chuck Norris and a couple of Texas Rangers.
12. We are totally self-sufficient in beef, poultry, hogs, and several types of grain, fruit and vegetables, and let's not forget seafood from the Gulf. Also, everybody down here knows how to cook them so that they
taste good.

I was hoping the one-line vanties would stop after the election. That will never happen, it's the nature of some to just post a thread about whatever thought pops into their minds.
Do you remember A+Bert? He was the king of the one-line vanities, particularly on Sunday mornings when he'd had a little too much to drink.:) Actually, I liked ol' Bert, he could be really funny, and a sense of humor covers a lot of sins.

well, what's stupid is that they seem to think that blue states are ALL blue and red states are all red and that it's like a game of risk ... these people are so stupid... i hope they never change

No need for war. Peaceful secession will do just fine, provided that the blue states have democratic elections in their red counties to determine whether go red or blue.
Blue states would have virtually no oil and little natural gas since they ban already offshore E&P in California, which would serve the environmentalists just fine. If the red counties joined the red states, they'd have precious little agriculture, though they'd still make some good wine. I suppose they have to drink that to keep from freezing in the dark.
Actually, Bluesistan would probably have such good relations with the Middle East that they would have access to adequate supplies of oil ... but only after the muttawah (Islamic religious police) certified that the population bowed to Mecca five times a day.

No kidding. I'm in Michigan, a Blue state, yet a great majority of the Michigan counties went for Bush.

Yep, I hear they're stockpiling spitballs.
All seriousness aside, the DU master plan is
to blow up a federal building in a red state,
as a signal for all the fringe wackos to take
up arms in revolt.
Oh, McVeigh tried that, and it didn't work?
Never mind.

I can picture a battle between drug dealers from the city, and hunters from the country. They city boys will be shooting at shadows with their pistols and "assault rifles", while the country boys pick them off with their scopes at four hundred yards.

I missed that thread! Sunshine came back!
Thank you. My all time favorite A+Bert vanity thread went down the memory hole. It was titled, "Jim Robinson, You Can Go To Hell!". He got 7 days in the cooler for that one. JR had the patience of Job with him.

But WE have the guns!!
From someone living in a blue state, we are winning!! Look at the congress - we have republican gains since 2002. The republic is coming together.
The libs have all of the same hate speech lingo that turns the average American off.
We love freedom, we love taking home $ that we EARNED when we go to work.
I, on a daily basis, tear my heart apart when I see my 3 year old tell me that she LOVES me and don't go, "Cmon, Daddy, it's Saturday".
AND, it tears my heart apart when I see my 6-month old daughter look at me, as if she expected me to stay home and tickle her belly all day.
But what REALLY tears my heart apart is when I look at that paycheck - the one, that I give my whole life up for, and I see money, that could have gone to my daughters, go somewhere else in New York state. It's enough to make one cry.
Haven't I given enough to this STATE!
Sorry for the rant - I have just about had it.
