Does anyone here listen to Savege nation? I do, most of the time. Michael Is entertaining, and he DOES tell it like it is. BUT, it seems like nothing Bush does is EVER good enough for him. I never hear Michael complimenting W on much of anything.
Is this just my imagination?
There've been times I've felt the same, but oddly enough I was just saying out loud how much I like him tonight...
I haven't paid close attention to the murder of Vangoeh in the Netherlands till I heard Savage discuss it tonight, he put in perspective. He mentioned some unflattering things about Bush's new appointee (Gonzales) and if true, I don't understand the President's motive either...As always, I'll wait and see what the *real deal* is...Just thought I'd put my two cents in. :)
What isn't wrong with Savage?
Dang, you just made my point -- this is a thread about the Michael Savage radio show and you are discussing the medicare prescription benefit plan!!!!!
First of all, that deserves a thread in Chat, second of all, Bush did that in his FIRST TERM ---why are you bringing it up NOW!! If it upset you, you shouldn't have backed him. You are a little late with that one!
The poster was asking why Savage was p.o.d at Bush. These are issues that contribute to Savage's take on Bush.
I agree with the "manic nut job" description.
Ok, I realize you are right, it would not be easy to just "round 'em all up, and send 'em home", BUT, I do get tired of hearing ,and seeing things in this area, becoming bi-lingual(I was in a store near Dayton, the other day, and they came over the intercom, and made and announcement, TOTALLY IN SPANISH!). C'mon, why should WE have to accomodate their ways, this is OUR country isn't it?
That said, I sill think it is WAY too early for us all to jump all over W, so soon after the election-- REMEMBER-- the DUmmies are still trying to prove that the election was stolen from J-K flip-flop(Truth be known, it was ALMOST stolen the other way around), and we need to 'wait and see', as others have suggested, before condemmg W's pick for AG.
Okay-- I didn't listen to Savage today -- didn't know he brought that up. Sorry.
"I've just started to listen to him. Do you think he is for real when he starts yelling about something. Or does he do it for the ratings."
It's the real thing. He is a talented performer, but I don't think one can fake insincerity and see ratings skyrocket. He's connecting.
If by the coming storm you mean the illegal immigration nightmare, Laura Ingraham is also talking quite forcefully about it.
And Laura, apart from being extremely easy on the eyes, is not bipolar, manic depressive or egotistical. She can be rude and snippy to callers at times.
I didn't listen to him today either. I believe the thread starter was intrigued on general principles why Savage seemed to be so negative with regard to Bush. These issues are one's that contributed to Savage's displeasure with Bush. I'm not an avid listener to Savage. I have heard him go off on tangents I don't agree with. Other times he brings up issues that not many will, and I'm glad to have had him address them. I'd be glad for just about anyone to address them when others won't.
I apologize, you didn't say loser but the first sentence of the second paragraph of post #47, makes it sound like we are just people that sit at our computers commenting on the world instead of living it and doing things like Savage. I know you will say I am "putting words in your post" again, but that is how I read it.
I guess I felt it was a put down to us compared to the great Michael Savage. I have no doctorate degree and I haven't written any books, or had a radio show. I have just raised a family.
Even though I voted for Bush twice now, holding my nose, i've not hiden my contmpt for his socialism (compasonate conservative), his being raised in a family that hasn't had any use for the US as an independent nation since before the Revolutionary War.
I intend to keep fighting him on his socialism and especially illegal imigration.
TDhe cure for illegals is to cut off all social services and arrest, jail, and fine anyone that hires them and they will either have to starve to death or go back to whatever country they came from. It's not just Mexicans, Central, and So. Americans, there are at least a million illegals from the middle east and orient.
I do not understand what you mean when you talk about his family not wanting US as an Independent Nation? What does that mean?
He's pretty much insane. And he has some horrilbe digestive problem. Everytime I bother to listen he's whining about his stomach.
They fought to keep us a part of England and went to Canada durring the Revolution and returned after it was over.
Prescot worked against this countries interests and Bush1 was in the State Dept. and no one attains a high position in the State Dept. if they don't fight for a one world socialist government.
Bush isn't a Texan, he's a N.E. Liberal as is is whole family. Just because he lives in Texas doesn't make him one.
Did you lose the Kommisar, Mr. Hewitt altogether? For Savage? Man, you need to get on the horn to that station! Hugh's indispensable. Savage doesn't have anything useful to add.
I think you are getting a little carried away. I know all about the history with his grandfather supposedly supporting Hitler and all that.
I would have to study the subject quite a bit before I would go on the internet and accuse Bush and his family of this.
However, This is 2004, Bush has lived in Texas most of his life. He has a ranch here, he was Governor here, I am a Texan and I not only accept him as a Texan, but I am proud to have him as a resident of my state. I am also proud that he is my President.
You might want to go hide under you bed for about 4 years, we will call you when he is gone.
Bush is a Texan.
