Just caught a snippet on CNN with Aaron Brown with a report by Bruce Morton on Second Term Presidents. The Left-Wing media is now starting the drumbeat that since a number of recent second term Presidents starting with Eisenhower and the U2 incident all the way to Clinton and Impeachment that Bush will have some sort of scandal in his second term. That Presidents in second terms always fall far short of their ambitions. The bottom line was that Liberals have nothing to fear from Bush as nothing of any consequence will be accomplished and/or scandal of some kind will bring down and diminish his Presidency. This is what the Hard Left Wingers are putting out and I believe that this is the type of propaganda we will be seeing for the next couple of months.
SORELOSERS one and all.
If only we'd lost the election. We'd be in much better shape!
Uh huh, and the Redskins game before the election predicts the outcome, high turnout favors Kerry, and the exit polls predict a Bush defeat. When substance isn't on your side, it's time to start rubbing the rabbits foot.
Nothing to fear other 3 or 4 Supreme Court Appointments and a continued PROACTIVE war on terror. I'll take this "lame duck" any day.
quack quack dammit.
You're right that they don't want us to succeed. I just watched a panel discussion on C-Span of "journalists" discussing the election results. They were unhinged.
The panel consisted of Pat Buchanan and a bunch of libs (There were a couple of people I didn't recognize who didn't say anything so maybe they weren't libs).
The lefties were visibly upset with the Bush win. Jonathan Alter actually said, in an attempt to comfort his fellow panelists, that history shows that most second-terms are catastrophic. He was actually trying to cheer them up with the idea that the country would go through a catastrophe.
Ahhh... the problem - watching CNN
So, what could be worse then this last year? The dems are hoping we will eat our own. And they are right. But, there is still hope. If George just stays George and doesn't worry about trying to be anything else, he should be fine.
The 'Rat machinery is already planning it, getting all their ducks in a row and will unleash it sometime within the next year. Count on it.
Pessimism is, in brief, playing the sure game. You cannot lose at it; you may gain. It is the only view of life in which you can never be disappointed. Having reckoned what to do in the worst possible circumstances, when better arise, as they may, life becomes child's play.
- Thomas Hardy
First, we have enough on the Dims to keep them at bay. Second, we have K.R. and from what he said yesterday and tonight, there is nothing the dims can do. Third, who for God's sake, listens to anything the MSM -- especially CNN, has to say. Anyway.
This will make the rats feel better.
Let's hope that Bush starts slashing government spending -- put an end to some of the many government handout programs, cut the deficit and privatize Social Security. No reason at all now for all this not to happen.
Hmmm...they [Democrats] want social programs? Let's start with therapy to correct their glee/desire for bad news.
I guess after that, they'll be Republicans...yeah, that'll work...
But they have a little problem, as in "The Times, They Are a'Changing".
CBS/Rather/NYT did their pathetic best to sink Bush, but they don't have a monopoly on the news anymore. Dan Rather's hoax was exposed within hours of his Memogate debacle, and CBS/NYT made laughingstocks of themselves with the 2nd attempted October surprise. They've lost the news monopoly, but they don't realize it yet.
Ha!
They keep MISUNDERESTIMATING Bush.
Precisely.
