Doesn't surprise me. The media notables have all lost their rockers and are trying to carry the cause on their own now.

I have tremendous respect for the former Soviet people, who had to live under their government and also survive things like Stalingrad (point being, they often DIDN'T survive).

Chris Matthews is one sick f--ker. He can kiss my ass.

What a moron. Seriously, this guy is a partisan hack. I don't have a problem with people being partisan, as long as they don't lie about it.

."are the insurgents manning their posts like at Stalingard?"
The analogy is apt if the Iraqis and their US allies are the Red Army and the insurgents are the lonely Weirmach units who got cut off and marooned in a city reduced to bunkers and bombed-out facades.

It's clear that the left will never reform itself. There's going to have to be a large dying-off of the current baby-boom generation of leftwingers before the Democrats ever wins another election.

fighting terrorists and not Iraqi nationalists?

Seeing as the "resistance" in Iraq is led by Iranians, Syrians, and a Jordanian, and made up in large measure of non-Iraqis, Matthews notion that we are fighting nationalists is a bit strange.

Not only is he a fool, but a despicable and ignorant fool as well.

How does he get away with saying stuff like that? Does he have a new boyfriend, Osama?

He should be fired.

Irrelevancy is really tough.

Chris has sunk into the MSNBC void and is grasping for the straws that broke the camels back.

.."are the insurgents manning their posts like at Stalingard?"

Answer. No.

The Stalingrad defense held. The people united in defense, while this is only the terrorists without the backing of most of the people who have deserted.

These folks will die miserably.

Well the Libs veil of "objectivity" is COMPLETELY off now. If you think the MSM was pro-Lib this year...wait til the mid-terms and 2008.

Anyone wanna make any bets on how long it will take little Chrissy to refer to us soldiers as "babykillers"??

If he's comparing the thugs in Fallujah to the heroes of Stalingrad...portraying us as babykillers isn't far behind.

I heard Chris and his big mouth while channel surfing. He had that scorn all over his face, sickening to watch and listen. I did clicked him off immediately. Such a creep.

Listening to Sheppard on Fox now, another suspected lib. You guess it, I have an intense loathing for liberals.

As a former SDS member, I can tell you this is the marching order in the offensive against Bush. The anti-war movement is the best way they can think of to overthrow him, or if not, to demonize and marginalize not only him but his supporters.

Number one thing that you can do is to shape opinion in support of the Iraqi liberation. Use language, use words like liberation and write to the editors of papers, those of you who write for a living, start columns.

Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. The playbook is already out there and it hasn't changed. What will change is our reaction to it.
