fighting terrorists and not Iraqi nationalists?
Seeing as the "resistance" in Iraq is led by Iranians, Syrians, and a Jordanian, and made up in large measure of non-Iraqis, Matthews notion that we are fighting nationalists is a bit strange.

Not strange if one reconizes that they are ARAB nationalists. Iraq is a political abstraction. But most likely most of them as local Sunnis who are fighting desperately to retain their former hegemony.
