My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

The Dragon Flies' Lair is now listed on the front page of Free Republic! Congratulations! I was wondering if they'd ever get around to it. ;-)

SHOPPING POEM

the day after turkey we flock to the malls
and buy lots of stuff and succomb to the calls
of on sale, on sale, on sale some more!
at five in the morning we stand at the door.
we stand in the wind, we stand in the cold,
we stand when were young, we stand when were old,
we salivate noiselessly in all of the aisles,
accumulating frequent shopper miles,
we burn through our credit, throw out the green,
if cash were x-rated wed all be obscene!
laptops and fliptops and d.v.d. players,
sweaters and coats and multiple layers
of more things than anyone ever could need,
at the racous cross streets of want and greed.
its dash away, dash away, dash away all,
to the nearest and dearest shopping mall
where we fly from the warmth of our s.u.v.s
and plunge into a store to buy some c.d.s
for the kid next door who mows the yard,
theres no end to the force of our credit cards,
we buy for the mailman, the cousin, the friend,
the list of our puchases has no visible end,
from walmart to macys to best buy and back,
we suffer from a case of consumer attack.
its a strange disease that can be quite scary.
it breaks out when the bills come in january,
you think and you think, but you just cant remember
how you spent so darn much at the end of november.

Good morning, Sam!
I am a reformed shopper, I hand out the money and let them do it. No credit card charges for me anymore. Been there done that.
Today's poem is so true for so many of us.
Listening to the tunes. Thanks for Breakfast, poetry, and tunes.

I was issued one troll, United Arab Emirates type, with a hint of DU.
And he went down swinging at least.
