We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Interesting factoid to show and tell to your liberal associates:
PRESIDENT BUSH WAS THE FIRST PERSON ELECTED TO THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENT WITH MORE THAN 50% OF THE POPULAR VOTE IN 16 YEARS. THE LAST TIME THIS EVENT OCCURRED WAS IN 1988 AND IT INVOLVED ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL WHOSE LAST NAME WAS BUSH AND THE LOSER WAS ALSO LIBERAL FROM MASSACHUSETTS. IN 1988, THE LOSER WAS THE GOVERNOR OF MASSACHUSETTS. THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT IN 2004 WAS THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR OF MASSACHUSETTS IN 1988, AND WOULD SUFFER THE SAME FATE IN THE 2004 ELECTION THAT THE THEN GOVERNOR OF MASSACHUSETTS DID IN 1984.
Some more fun facts to show and tell.
President Bush is the first President since 1936 - FDR - to win the Presidency with a majority vote AND pick up representation in his party in the House of Representatives AND pick up representation in the Senate AND pick up one or more state houses.
The GOP gained five seats in the Senate.
The GOP gained four seats in the House.
The GOP gained one governorship.
Terry McAwful, the UOx42 hand-picked leader of the democRATS, has now presided over three straight losing contests, and in each has allows the democRATS to get their tushes handed to them on a platter. This continues the notion that UOx42 has been the best thing to happen to the Republican Party.
The GOP won the vote in 30 states, the democRATS only 20 and the District of Columbia.
The democRATS had no answer. They even tried comparing President Bush to Hitler. In short, the result was that 95% of the counties in America.
Thank you Terry McAwful. We appreciate your brand of campaign.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
I have that one, I want one for just New York..
Yours is more up to date though..
What you are saying is that if you saw-off NYC and LI, New York turns red!
Thanks, want one.. : )
No they haven't. Not yet. I want them destroyed. I want to take an M1A2 and lock the break on one track and circle around, crushing them like the vermin they are.
I have been enjoying watching Kerry backers slamming the doors of their Mercedes and Volvos! :-)
Congratulations!!!!!!
Who was the biggest loser of the 2004 election? It is easy to say Mr. Kerry: he was a poor candidate with a poor campaign. But I do think the biggest loser was the mainstream media, the famous MSM, the initials that became popular in this election cycle. Every time the big networks and big broadsheet national newspapers tried to pull off a bit of pro-liberal mischief--CBS and the fabricated Bush National Guard documents, the New York Times and bombgate, CBS's "60 Minutes" attempting to coordinate the breaking of bombgate on the Sunday before the election--the yeomen of the blogosphere and AM radio and the Internet took them down. It was to me a great historical development in the history of politics in America. It was Agincourt. It was the yeomen of King Harry taking down the French aristocracy with new technology and rough guts. God bless the pajama-clad yeomen of America. Some day, when America is hit again, and lines go down, and media are hard to get, these bloggers and site runners and independent Internetters of all sorts will find a way to file, and get their word out, and it will be part of the saving of our country.
Time to get moving...back later.
I thought it was a very interesting biography. Jamie Foxx is a very worthy actor. I was able to see Ray Charles through him. Is he any relation to Red Foxx?
Ray isn't entertainment and I wasn't entertained. I was intrigued and sorrowful for Charles. Such a talented man and so very mixed-up and troubled.
Chair, I heard on one of the talk shows yesterday, and I think it was either Hugh Hewitt or Mike Medved, that since the President won the popular vote by about 3.5 million votes and algore had about .5 million popular votes more than the President in 2000, that's a net of 4 million votes.
Remember how many ads we've heard over the past couple of months about there being ~4 million Evangical Christians that did not vote in 2000? Coincidence? I don't think so.
I'm switching to the upstairs computer ~ the one that lets me lurk, but not post. I'll be able to read your posts but not reply to it. It makes it hard.
I've only seen previews of the movie, but was amazed by how much Jamie Fox resembles Ray Charles in looks.
Good Morning Everyone.
The edwards are both ambulance chasing lawyers...need we say more. He does not lose with grace, that tells us everything we need to know about him. He's all about johnny baby. She's all about..? They practically ignored their eldest child and kept showing their young ones, when on stage.
Dolly, do you have the link handy to that Jesusland map? If not, don't worry about it. thanks
Prairie
Good morning.
We are teaching at school tomorrow instead of today (thank goodness).
Thanks for that map of the 2004 vote by county. I've put it on my homepage. Quite impressive.
We live on a road that separates two counties. The county side we are on went for kerry. The county across the road (my hometown county)went for President Bush.
What a gorgeous suit the First Lady is wearing.
This came via e-mail yesterday and was probably received by lots of freepers, all of whom deserve the president's thanks:
Dear (Peach) - LOL
We had a long night -- and we had a great night. The voters turned out in record numbers and delivered an historic victory.
I want to thank our supporters across this country. At every stop I asked you to make the calls, put up the signs, talk to your neighbors, and get out the vote. And because you did your part, we are celebrating today. Thanks to you, we received more votes than any presidential ticket in history.
America has spoken. And I am humbled by the trust and confidence of my fellow citizens. With that trust comes a duty: I will serve all Americans, so help me God. I am proud to lead such an amazing country -- and I am proud to lead it forward.
Reaching our goals will require the broad support of Americans. A new term is a new opportunity to reach out to the whole nation. We have one country, one Constitution, and one future that binds us all. And when we come together and work together, there is no limit to the greatness of America.
A campaign has ended, and our cause is renewed. The United States of America goes forward with confidence and faith. I can see a new day coming, and I am eager for the work ahead. God bless you all, and God bless America.
I just checked county-by-county results for Tennessee. Our county, which is pretty small with a population of around 40,000, went for President Bush by about 58-40. Surprisingly, the county where I work, which is dominated by a city of over 100,000 and a very liberal university, went even stronger for Bush. I'm pretty sure that four years ago that county went for Gore.
