I'm confused by this map. If the south was all Dem. and the Dems were red, why are the blue states Carter? I said "Blue is for the winner Democrat Jimmy Carter." I said it wrong. I should have said "RED is for the winner Democrat Jimmy Carter."
Red = Democrat
Blue = Republican
In short, the east and south were mostly Democrat. The West was Republican.
Sorry for the confusion.
