William Shatner cd "Has Been"

Posted on 10/28/2004 12:14:27 PM PDT by der Hund

William Shatner has put out a cd of music and one poem. It is great, it stands as an artistic achievement. I am not kidding it at once rocks, is deeply personal, very funny, poignant and moving. It is called "Has Been" and I like it so much that I wanted to recomend it to everybody. Some of the contributing artist are Ben Folds, Joe Jackson, Aimee Mann, Brad Paisley, Henry Rollins and Adrian Belue(spelling?) Check it out you will not be sorry

I've listened to it, when he and Axl Rose sing "Night Train" it just blows you away ...

And the line has to be delivered in "classic" Shatner fashion... [g]

If a friend of mine had embarrassed me like that, I'd have tormented them..
*chuckle*

I shall torment others with the song in much humor and honor, thanks!

Yeah he performed "Common People" on Jay last Friday, and it may have sounded a little rough. But Keep in mind the guy just spent the previous two nights performing sold out shows in LA. The crowds were reportedly wildly enthusiastic. The album is strong and while it contains a lot of humor it is also moving. I knew everyone would laugh and call me aesthetically challenged, thats ok, I can handle it. Just give it a try before you pan it.

Here is a video of Shatner performing 'Rocket Man' in his full psychedelic prime.
