It's been posted umpty-eleven times in the past year. I'm tired of rehashing the conversation.

By golly, I never thought about it. You're the first person to ask that question here.

Well welcome to Free Republic anyway! Don't think Condi will run and the Dems would tear her apart in one minute flat if she did.

Successful and re-elected Governor of Florida. Sounds like good credentials to me.

She looks scared a lot - and I can't figure out why and that worries me - What does she know that the citizens don't - or should know -

If she does run - I do hope if there are any skeletons - they are taken care of well ahead of time - those other people are brutal and given their track record -

Better safe -

just my thoughts -

By the way I have NO DOUBT that Hillary will may a play in 2008 for president. We are going to need someone who can beat the pants off of her and its not going to be easy to find someone from the choices we have now.

I am not sure Condi wants to be prez and I think it has to be something that drives you. I heard someone ask her that question and she didn't act like someone who had even considered it.

actually I think Jeb Bush "could" be a shoe in for Prez in 2008 if his Brother is reelected and if he can in the next four years become has popular as he was the first year of his presidency.

Welcome, but when I join a new board I lurk awhile to get the feel of it. I wish the moderators would have a "no vanity" day, heck make it a week. A day where 100% of all vanites would be pulled.

Dynasty dynasty dynasty! Too many people wouldn't vote for him for that reason alone. Not to say he wouldn't be a good one tho'.

No - People will not elect another Bush! It would seem too much like a Dynasty. I like Jeb Bush - don't get me wrong but the American people will not elect another Bush.

Yeah, he'd carry Florida but the question is whether or not the rest of the country would have Bush-fatigue.

Though its one of those pointless 'what-ifs'; just consider if Jeb had beaten Chiles in 1994 and became governor the same time W did. Then he would have won a comfortable reelection. Then perhaps it would have been Jeb who was championed by the party establishment because of his higher marks as a speaker and all. Then assuming all else was equal, there would have been no controversy in 2000, and this year all the resources expended in Fl could be used in Ohio, Penn, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, etc...
