We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

CAT I HURRICANE JEANNE ADVISORY #32

DISCUSSION

...JEANNE SOLUTION NOW SOLID...ACTUALLY TO THE LEFT OF NHC TRACK...JEANNE WILL WEAKEN BEFORE REACHING NORTH CAROLINA, HOWEVER...

JEANNE is exiting the anticyclonic loop it has been in for a couple of days.  All major models agree on a westward motion and a curve to the north at VT forecast plus five days.  NHC has to maintain continuity with previous forecasts, so they admit their track is quite probably insufficiently far enough west.  JEANNE will be pulled up into a trough between a HP center to its east and west at VT forecast plus four days.

So we're back to where we were around a week ago--the primary threat appears to be to North Carolina's Crystal Coast and Outer Banks.

Intensity is another issue, however.  Dry air appears to be reaching JEANNE from the south and is inhibiting development.  There is also shear over the system, which appears to be subsiding.  Model guidance suggests a modest increase in strength through VT forecast plus three days, and then a gradual weakening.

In the news...

And in a bizzare new twist to Rathergate, the purveyor of the memos to CBS, Mr. Bill Burkett, plans to sue the network for defamation of character and libel.

Turns out that CBS was supposed to protect the anonymity of Mr. Burkett and "expend both time and money authenticating" the memos they were provided.

Also, Tony Coelho, the former manager of Algore's successful attempt at becoming "the former next President of the United States," stated that the Algore campaign was also verbally given this information, but felt there was "nothing there" so they didn't pursue it.

Also, Mary Mapes, a producer at CBS News, passed the name of Bill Burkett on to the Kerry Campaign, it has been learned.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

How wonderful! Glad you got to see him this campaign go-round....

I FReeped Kerry a few weeks ago here in Acorn. Shouted at him: Welcome to Akron, Senator! Go Pres. Bush!!" LOL. A blue haired K supporter then hissed at me: Don't do that again!

Great summary Jane. thanks for that, and congrats on earning a n easy $75!

Interesting that Wheeler ties the decline to the moon landing...a different-than-usual suggestion, don't you think??

Hiya back! Always good to drop in and say hey to everyone. My typing is a bit rusty, though. Oh well...

lysie, it was cool. We knew he was close when the military helicopter flew overhead north along Main street. The, about six buses flew by, I just kept my arms up in salute till everyone got by.

MP, Kerry was here about a month or so back. Lots of people, I went to Jed's and watched the automaton do his thing, lots of libs cheering his punch lines. Even had a buckeye and said he can't wait to put it on his desk in the WH. Blargh. Then he screws up and mentions OSU football in some town in MI. HAR, he got booed big-time.
And I remain optimistic that GWB will get 60-70%; it won't even be close. Kerry will be the latest example of second place being the first loser!

Yes, but on reflection I think there is a bit of truth about it.

Remember, after the moon landing (1968) we had all the griping about the money it cost and how it could better be spent on poor people, etc.

I do recommend this book. It has an excellent list of accomplishements of the President by Phyllis Schaffly. I haven't gotten to the essays by the economists yet (for me that will be slower going, for sure).

W., I'm so thrilled to see you here. Often, when the posts are flying on some deep subject, I wonder, "What would W. say?"

Glad you are faring well.

Hi, and thanks back! Always good to get home!

10-4 on the typing practice. I am at work using the computer as we are running a D shift, 4-7 PM. I like my keyboard at home as the backspace is two keys wide, and this one does not feel right. Sigh. I should have mentioned that Jed's is a sports bar and it was a hot day. Better to be on the air-conditioned inside with a beer watching the automoron drone on and on on the TV. It was good to read you FReeped the 'first loser' as did I at Jed's by giving the W sign to Kerry. Not technically FReeping him but he was right up the street so, close enough.

As a Buckeye fan, that is my favorite Kerry gaffe...saying, in Michigan...THERE'S NOTHING LIKE BUCKEYE FOOTBALL!!...LOL

Anyone listening to the Kerry speeches on FoxNews now? As if his voice isn't annoying enough, he has a horrible cold and......ewwwwwwwww! I wish he would just shut up!

Hey, screwing up is what Kerry does best. Maybe only second to spending TerYaSa's money.

JT is very strongly considering signing up for the reserves now so he can get his basic out of the way before January. The recruiter seems to have told him that it is possible to do that and make the beginning of the semester.

My question is: how long did the training take your boy-child and when was he available for regular life again? To be honest, I'm a little skeptical about the time frame.

Mom is off the ventilator....her blood gases were good so they took her off.

Her breathing is fine(knock wood). She is on O2 thru the nose.

She is still in ICU..... Tomorrow we will cross the bridge of the valve replacement.
