Teacher Accused of Sleeping With Student Not Anomaly (New racy Debra Lafave photos surface)

NEW YORK If Debra Lafave is convicted of sexual misconduct and lewd exhibition, the middle school teacher will be part of a frightening trend: A report to Congress Wednesday found that one in every 10 school-age kids endures sexual misconduct by a teacher or other school employee.

Lafave is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old student at least five times at her home, at school and in the back of her SUV.

The student identified butterfly and Chinese letter tattoos on Lafave's body for investigators.

The 23-year-old reading specialist at Greco Middle School near Ocala, Fla., turned herself into authorities Monday, accompanied by her attorney.

The "sleeping with" in the title reminded me of an incidence in a school at which I worked in a rural area of Northern California.

The Kindergarten teacher was a slightly large woman who was quite buxom

One day she was hugging one of her students; he was sitting on her lap...and he asked her "Mrs. xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (She was married a lot, and had three last names) can I sleep with you?"

Her spontaneous answer was "Not until you are older"

Your post presumes that I defend the woman; I do not. I merely observe that she stoops to feed her animal nature and that without internal moral restraints such license will occur time and again.

lol...gee ya think? I expect it was the other way around. He talked her into having sex with him. Kids grow up fast these days. There are some pretty smooth players out there who are only 14.

She is the victim here, although she should have known that he wouldn't be able to keep from bragging to all his friends, and so it would come out. I guess she deserves to get in trouble for being so gullible, but please spare me the "she took away his innocence" nonsense. No one is buying that BS.

My reasoning is this: I spend ALOT of money looking good, hair, nails, skin care, gym, cosmetics, clothing, SHOES.. I refuse to pay for drinks or dinner on any date.

Again, you missed my point, and if you read my previous post, I said that I expect a date to pick up the tab. That is just the was I was raised, and if I went out with a man who wanted to go dutch, it would probably be the first and last date for us.

What I was discussing was a scenerio of a night out with the girls, and just playing up to a man or men, to get them to buy your drinks. Have never done it, never will.
