We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
UOx42 tells Dan Rather he feels his being the only elected President ever to be impeached as a "badge of honor"!
Dan Rather, in his turn, gives UOx42's book, My Li[]e, five stars.
An explosion rocks central Baghdad, and at least 25 are dead with scores injured.
The Club for Growth, bowing to the wishes of the Reagan family, will hold off airing ads that show the similarities between the President and Ronald Reagan, and the differences between the late commander-in-chief and Sen. John Effin Kerry.
The Post Office announced they will issue a Ronald Reagan stamp next year.
And, finally, all are not happy with the coverage provided to former President Reagan's funeral activities. New York Times' Frank Rich writes in a column to be published Sunday: the gratuitously attenuated aerial shots of the hearse streaking on California freeways to Simi Valley carried an eerie visual echo of the [O.J. Simpson] Bronco chase. Then there was this from Morley Safer: The dirty little secret of the week: The outpouring didn't live up to its hype. 'There was this kind of extraordinary outpouring not by the public but by reporters who should know better. They just can't stand it when they're not the center of attention.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Tsk Tsk
I detect a smiggon of Farm Kid in you, tR!
Enough weather talk.
Night all.
How is Chong?
So what he's saying is that since the wall separated democracy and communism, that when the wall fell (and we could see to the other side), he was on the communist side.
We all KNEW THAT.
Isn't that just unbelievable? Clinton believes in the VRWC and we were energized because the Berlin Wall fell and we had to have someone to hate.
Riiiiiiight.
It is believable. He cannot accept that we hate him because he's evil incarnate. BTW, I don't think I've ever said his name since long before he left office.
Oh, Bologna, and Milan, plus that month plus in Rome are on the list. Have no fear for the Italians and their politics. Frankly, I found it all terrifically tame, even the Bush-hating was lame. While I was shocked to see the hammer and sickle on the Commie party propaganda, there was something of Disney in it, as if but a parody.
What amazed me most of all was how the people have stayed with the land. I was last there about 20 years ago, and while they have cell phones and newer cars, little has changed. Quite amazing.
For me to be in Florence was like walking through the foundations of the American constitution. The modern age began in Florence.
Gotta go. People to see, things to do, stuff to buy.
Good question. Chong -- how are ya?!
Jemian, go to Italy. Never a bad meal, and not an unpleasant person was met. My joy was, during our stay in the countryside, to go to a little corner store (streets c. 1310) and ask the couple there what I should make for lunch and dinner each day. They chose my ingredients and told me how to cook it. Even I couldn't make a bad meal!
Thank you fopr checking in.. your life sounds like fun. Let us know when you will be in Maine. a small group of FReepers that live / visit there are tying to coordinate a get together...
Nice you can enjoy some time with kids...
Hi Sweetie! We've missed you.
Guess you are "home"? Our power went out 3 times today. Newver long time. Just long enough for havoc & to get the digitals blinking. I need to get this set up on the power surge battery backup (which is alone in antoher room unconnected to anything.... Each time I was on computer. ZAP. NOt good. Just reset up my computer in new location in house. More floods here too.. ugh. Have you gotten all your flowers in? THe new beds done? I am only about 1/4 through with my tasks. Things always come up.
Missed you too! Playing "catch up" is NOT easy.
Night all... need some zzzzsssss... yes, sweet sleep
G'nite Dolly. Rest Well.
I should be in bed myself. I need to be well rested and extremely pleasant tomorrow.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you. But my brain did jump to a raspberry chutney that contains onion... so, you never know.
I had to work tonight anyway. The new guy didn't show up for his first day.
When he didn't show by 7 I left for a few hours to do laundry and get a nap before I had to close. My owner asked what he should do, should the prospective employee show up after I left. My reply?: 'Kneecap him and send him on his way.' ;>)
I did make some phone calls and have two more prospects coming in to interview.
I am on the schedule at 9am (6 1/2 hours from now) so I better call it a night.
God bless us all. Each, and every one.
/john
