AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1244) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 17, 2004 | All of Us

Posted on 06/17/2004 4:20:37 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

UOx42 tells Dan Rather he feels his being the only elected President ever to be impeached as a "badge of honor"!

Dan Rather, in his turn, gives UOx42's book, My Li[]e, five stars.

An explosion rocks central Baghdad, and at least 25 are dead with scores injured.

The Club for Growth, bowing to the wishes of the Reagan family, will hold off airing ads that show the similarities between the President and Ronald Reagan, and the differences between the late commander-in-chief and Sen. John Effin Kerry.

The Post Office announced they will issue a Ronald Reagan stamp next year.

And, finally, all are not happy with the coverage provided to former President Reagan's funeral activities. New York Times' Frank Rich writes in a column to be published Sunday: the gratuitously attenuated aerial shots of the hearse streaking on California freeways to Simi Valley carried an eerie visual echo of the [O.J. Simpson] Bronco chase. Then there was this from Morley Safer: The dirty little secret of the week: The outpouring didn't live up to its hype. 'There was this kind of extraordinary outpouring not by the public but by reporters who should know better. They just can't stand it when they're not the center of attention.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

FNC just played a clip of Clinton talking about whether there really was a VRWC.

He said "Well, when the Berlin Wall fell the far right needed an enemy and they made me it."

Golly 2/3s, he's just a thweet, witto, tweety thang, he's absolutely consumed with a love fest from the mighty minions who surround him at every turn. Watch how danny boy almost genuflexes in his presence. Watch how petey's starched hair stands straight up in excitement when interviewing him, watch tommy baby call him the best of his generation. Now with all this worshipping going on, how can we FReepers say anything about this thug? Ain't he just the most disgraceful being every to put foot on American soil?

Hi! I have returned from the farmer's market where I purchased black raspberries and onions. I will not serve them together.

Much to do this evening. I am helping with the arrangements on a Photo Shoot tomorrow for a Candidate. I'm responsible for the scheduling of those in the pics, as well as the positioning of the subjects in the photos.

I will be absent for awhile. I've got a bunch of phone calls to make to reconfirm all the appointments we've set up with various people who will be included in the photos.

#133 ... and therein resides the very best of our Molly ... dealing with reality, not wasting time judging, but handling ... never giving up, but dealing with situations beyond .... well, logic ... with grace and whimsey ... all the while getting the job done ... allowing for human frailties and granting *grace* even as the top of her head wants to explode. I am so glad I have met you, dear heart ...

Know what y'alls, and ALL y'alls ALLS!? I am back to bein' fit and fiddle! .... oh, some things are left to be learned ... many, really ... endless, actually ... but my hearing is improved ... my insight, too, some of the tools I thought were gone forever ... well, turns out they were after hybernating a bit ... gaining strength, I think ...changed a bit ... sharper in spots ... softer in others ... all the way around better ....

I almost think I could write a summary again! LOL! Folks are moving and expanding ... babes are being born ... even as beloved pets are gone ... jobs fullfill, or frustrate, toes, feet, ankles, knees, hearts, heads, shoulders and minds are givin' us fits ... even as our spirits soar and our hopes, too .... its raining too much or not enough, it's hot and humid, dry and hot ... just hot ... gloriously warm and everything in between and wjc is still a treasonous and evil man whose funeral .... Miss Marple ... will be grotesque in its tacky shabby tawdriness and I believe I live for the day ... assuming we ALL live that long ... given the mess he left us as his legacy ....

I digress .... I promise ... no more bandwidth wasting ... and I won't disappear again, if you'll have me ... I had roads to travel and places to go which had to be done quietly and mostly alone, save for the blessed company of the Big Guy ...who has truly seen me through .... I finally learned to listen, you see ... and I'm not an angry Christian anymore ... questioning, yes ... but not angry ... awed and waiting ... LOL! He's after wantin' to smack me now ... He knows, though ... he knows ... He showed me ... I was blessed enough to open my eyes and ears .... that's that.

Well, I had two teeth pulled today .... YIKES! ... I was so scared ... but all went well ... and now it hurts like a son of a gun which is a phrase which makes no sense at all ... "I'm a daughter of a bulldozer and you are a son of a gun ... what think you?! Are we a match?!" ....

Well ... I am posting this now ... off I go ...

Welcome home.

After a particularly ugly hour spent on a religious thread with comments directed at me that would make the Scientologists blush, all because I had a bad experience with a church when I was 8, I can say that there are times we are all angry with God. Thankfully he doesn't get angry with us.

Now I will have to go see what our friend Molly has been dealing with as I have not "read" the thread, only dropping in occasionally to post something. Lazy, lazy way to do business but there it is.

Black rasberries ... yum .... we sell Black Chokeberry bushes, which produce, YES! ... chokeberries!! I remember, as a kiddo ... collecting these from my Dad's bushes ... they make wondrous jams and turn the tips of your fingers blue after picking them ... which is a plus, of course ... also clothes, shoes ... etc ... etc ...

Black raspberries, oh yum, I've not seen any since I left home, nor the yellow ones. I don't think Texans know what they are. In fact, since I've been in Texas, I have not eaten a decent peach, yet they claim to have some wonderful ones. In fact, I've stopped buying, peaches, most plums, no blue berries, I'm used to the wild ones, and these "tame" ones are tasteless to me, the blackberries here, and "dew berries" are ok, but again, I'm used to the wild ones. When we visit my family in the Northwest, I pig out on fresh fruits and berries and when we visit more of my family in SE Alaska, I've introduced Roomey to some our wild berries, some he's never heard of.

Comments thrown out into this "empty" cyber-space, Peach, mean less than nothing. I have read your thoughts and thought about what I read ... I count you as one of our many "lasting" wonders ... 'tis easy to put finger to key ... but your heart shines through time and time again ...never failing ...

After the day I've had, your words are light a beacon of sunshine. And oh, how I needed them. Thank you for your kindness and goodness.

'Tis my pleasure ... you've done the same for me on a great number of occasions... though you may never have known it ... HA!

Now, I've these stitches in my mouth where the teeth were pulled and they are brushing ever so lightly against my tongue and are beyond icky .... they are to ... dissolve!? ... on their own?! ... Egads ...

Really ... this kind of technology boggles ... to think our first President founded this Nation even as he had wooden teeth ... imagine that ... I would rather not, really ... though his experience is humbling at the end ...

Sounds like a wonderful trip. I've always been glad I visited Europe when I did years ago. Not sure I'd go now, not so much because of fears of terrorism, but because of the anti-American, socialistic populace.

I agree Rome needs a lot of time and I too, was enchanted with Florence, liking it better than Rome in fact. Also enjoyed the area around Bologna where I spent some time in the countryside.

Your book sounds fascinating, I hope you will keep us updated on it.

Speaking of blue finger tips ~~ have you ever hulled walnuts. Disgusting. Not only your finger tips but, eventually, your entire hand turns black. I've often wondered if that's where the Black Hand originated.

ISB, would you please put on your simply gorgeous plant hat and tell me if you have ever heard of/do you know anything about Jacobina? I have Jacobina ~~ that's what my Mom called them ~~ plants that are about 40 years old. They are beautiful and, since they don't like being spliced and rooted, I've looked high and low at nurseries in CA and came up knowing less than I thought I knew. Any suggestions?

Oh your poor teeth. It is good you can laugh about the wooden teeth people used to endure.

After they have healed, you must treat yourself to a gastronomical delight that you would not otherwise have. And then brush very well to remove all sugar!

Mr. Peach is home and I need to pay some attention to him - he has been ignored all day.

Yes, they will dissolve. Try not to disrupt the clot over the extractions, that could lead to painful complications. And try to rest a bit more if you can, extractions tend to wear us out more than we sometimes realize at first.

Well,,, I tasted the raspberries as I passed thru the kitchen to get the sissors to cut back a flopping bunch of daisys.

I am used to the wild berries, too. I have a nice big patch on a farm I own about 2 miles from here. These berries I purchased tonite are nearly tasteless. And I've spent 5 minutes digging a seed out from under a bridge.

The only redeeming value these purchased berries have is I didn't get covered with mosquito bites while picking them.

I'm going back outside to plant something. A little Dirt Therapy is needed to clear my head.

Glub, glub....I'm after growing webbed feet, as you'd say illstillbe!

Another rain storm just nearly washed us away...

2 teeth in one day!! &*^(*&&*

But you survived right, illstillbe??

Here's an update on my friend Nancy....she's been in the hospital all week following last week's chemo. Trooper Nancy is bravely fighting an infection, suffering from all sorts of pokes and tests, trying to raise her blood count, and revive her diminishing appetite.

THAT's one reason, illstillbe, that the grocery line was mildly amusing instead of absolutely infuriating!

I'm sorry you were treated so badly, Peach. You're not the first one around here who's suffered on one of those threads!

Well, sweetie, or should I say sweeties both of you, I should know better. Knocking my head against the wall....

Glad your friend Nancy is able to have your support and friendship at this time, Molly. It must be a lifeline to her.

Mr. Peach did not need my attention after all as there is some sports game on that is keeping his attention quite well without me. LOL
