LOL. Clever poem. Good morning.
May your heart be at peace.
I've got less & less inspiration. That makes
my poems shorter & I think that's what I find
annoying. Not so much the length, just the lack
of... anything really. I've been stuck in a rut
for almost a month now.
Been a really, really busy day today. SOme bad news some good news and trying to digest it all and make things come together. I really hate having to wait for other people before I can get things done. Anyway I have a joke to share:
There was a little old lady who was very spiritual who would step out on her porch every day, raise her arms to the sky and yell "Praise the Lord."
One day, an atheist bought the house next door to her, and he became very irritated with the spiritual lady.. So after a month or so of her yelling, "Praise the Lord" from her porch, he went outside on his porch and yelled back, "There is no Lord."
Yet, the little old lady continued.
One cold, wintery day, when the little old lady couldn't get to the store, she went out on her porch, raised her hands up to the sky and said, "Help me Lord, I have no more money, it's cold, and I have no more food."
The next morning, she went outside, and there were three bags of food on the porch, enough to last her a week. "Praise the Lord," she yelled.
The Atheist stepped out from the bushes and said, "There is no Lord hahaha, I bought those groceries!"
(hold on...the ending is pretty good!).
The little old lady raised her arms to the sky and said, "Praise the Lord, you sent me groceries and you made the Devil pay for them!"
Sorry to hear about Tinuviel, Radu. :-(
Nice poem Feather. You did Tinuviel proud.
Thank you for the beautiful poem, ms. feather. I'll admit the tears are flowing in a steady stream at the moment.
And thank you Darksheare and SAM for your sweet words.
You've all put a smile on this sad lil hillbilly's face.
I knew the day was coming when I'd have to set Tinuviel's spirit free to play in the trees but it was still a blow when it arrived. It's always hard to have a beloved pet put to sleep. We were lucky to get more time with her than we expected when she was diagnosed with cancer last summer. We expected around 6 months and got 11. She and I had 13 wonderful years together
Though I'll miss her dearly for a long time, the bright side is that I still have aaaaaaall these other kitties (3 are Tinuviel's offspring) who have a hold on my heart to love and take care of. They'll keep me plenty busy. :-)

Good morning y'all.
I hope everyone is doing fine and dandy these days. Other than losing my lil kitty, things are going pretty well in the hills of TN. NO RAIN for the past few days!! YEEHAAAAAW! LOL!
Of course, the veggies in the garden are lovin' this hot, dry weather and are keeping me busy.....pickin' green beans galore and getting them put up keeps me hoppin'. hehe. We were a little late getting the stuff planted this spring so the goodies are only recently ready to pick. The 'maters, corn and melons won't be to far behind. Can't say that farm life is exciting but there's sure something to be said for munchin' on home-grown food. Yum, yum!
We have several hummingbirds living here this year and I have a feeder hanging just outside the kitchen window. I spotted a couple of the tiny beauties flitting around the feeder this afternoon and grabbed the camera. Dang, but they're hard to photograph! LOL! But I got this shot of one of them and will keep trying to get more.I hope to get some better shots to post in the future. Those lil birds are sooooooo adorable!
Welcome.
Cats sometimes are more than just cats to us, but children.
Morning Radu.
Sorry to hear about your cat.
We have Hummers in Oregon year round and they are fun to watch. One of the first things we got for Snippy's place when she moved here was a Hummingbird feeder and they showed up the first day she put it out. Now they're regular vistors. You're right about getting a good photo of them, you have to be a quick draw with the camera.
No rain? That has to be like a lifestyle change for ya. :-)

Sam,
Thanks for tunes, poetry, and Breakfast for the Lair.
LOL on the joke. We appreciate your taking time to give us these little poetic nuggets each and every day.
Hope things go well today.
Morning radu. Oh a little hummer. We have them here, but I can never get them to come to feeders so have given up. Maybe too, much street noise. It used to be neighborhood cats that ran them off, but that is not the problem now.
Sure looks lush and green on the back deck!!
Hope your heart is a little lighter today.
Thanks Feather. Things seem to be coming together, I'm just impatient.
