If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

It turns out that I was hiding a case of pneumonia underneath my illness."Watch it" is an understatement.
Prayers offered for a full recovery.

Yes you must be careful. I don't have a pneumonia poem. But I wrote this one a while back.

Cataracts

Im glad youre seeing better now,
But surgery seems silly.
I guess Im just a simpleton,
A dummy, a hillbilly.
It seems to me if you cant see,
The Cataracts the deal.
Id trade that gas hog in right now,
And get an Oldsmobile.

    Love's Music

 The music plays,
 Hauntingly beautiful,
 It plays of love.
 It must,
 For my heart cries
 And laughs...
 And soars...
 And dies...
 I open my ears
 And close my eyes.
 The world stops,
 And yet...
 Time flies

    Welcome.
Tricky stuff the viral type.
Haven't had that kind yet, but had pneumonia often enough to know taht the stuff isn't something to trifle with.
Keep well rested and keep an eye on yourself there.
(Don't do what I do. I try to avoid doctors like the plague.. bad idea.)

Good to hear that the meds are helping.
Seems there's some lung crud making the rounds lately.

Lovely poem this morning. Thanks for tunes, coffee, donuts and poetry. Have not heard The Hanging Tree in a long time.

Thanks, Sam. I'm doing my best. They put me on prednisone, they say for just a couple of weeks. So they are taking it seriously, in any event.

Maybe I'll try and write one, then. I don't know if I can be too lighthearted about it, but we'll see what happens!

Humor mixed with Faith have gotten me through a lot of tough scrapes.

I once had a motorcycle accident that broke both my legs, my right wrist, my right collarbone, and 4 ribs on my right. I told the ambulance driver as they loaded me, "Please drive slow and watch out for blue-haired ladies in Caddy's running stop signs. And don't say anything funny, I hurt like s@@@."

What are we going to do with you? You really must take care of yourself better. :-)

Pneumonia? My goodness. I recall walking around with that unknown at the time, it's awful. Lots of fluid and cough on purpose to get rid of that stuff. Don't be late on the meds and take them religiously til gone!

Rest, rest rest! Am I going to have to come up there and take care of you?!

    Hi.
On the foxhole thread, I noticed the dreaded words "Corduroy road", thought of Ohio, and INSTANTLY thought, "Hey, snippy might remember those!"
