You know who I simply adored, as unpopular as he is?
JOHN STEVENS! What a classy and handsome young man. And THAT voice has "vey series" potential as a crooner!
He has that Harry Connick Jr. sound to him.
Like I said, I have yet to watch an episode. The few minutes I watched tonight is the first time ever, so I don't know anything about their personalities, or who was on before and got eliminated, or anything like that. Both those girls are in serious need of singing coaches, though.
Yet no one bothered to correct or reminded him that Ruben won last year. This racist crap is beginning to fall on deaf ears.
I just bought a Harry Connick Jr CD last month and I just love that style of voice.
He does sound a bit like Sinatra if you close your eyes.
Well, I am a "HUGH" Rat Pack fan, so I was a John Stevens' fan from the moment I heard him audition. I was the same way last year with Clay.
John Stevens got booted the week before big band night.....go figure...
Give it a rest. You didn't like her style. Black gospel style. That doesn't mean isn't talented. I don't even want to say what you all sound like.

What has Fantasia done to make you think she wouldn't have been a gracious loser. This thread is really beginning to piss me off. And I will use the R word.
I was so ticked about that, especially since Big Band night was pushed back for Elton John night. For no real reason since Elton John wasn't judging or anything.
If every singer sang like Diana, the world would be a pretty boring place now, wouldn't it. Your comment about Dylan just solidified what I thought about you. You're like my Mother. There's only one way to sing and if you don't sing like that, you have no talent.
Maybe not her, but even before she won, I could hear the press gearing up for the campaign of how unfair it was if she lost. I don't think Fantasia would have said anything (not right away) but a lot of fans would.
Hildy if you are so inclined to use the R word be my guest but under no circumstance am I going to love and get used to a screacy whiny voice of a girl who can not pronounce words that most AMERICANS can.
I am happy about the results but dont you go around abusing that word any more then has been already done.
Overuse the word it loses its meaning.
By the way, did Ruben ever really speak? LOL... They said he had a great personality, but I never saw ANY personality.
