That's what I'm thinking would happen if she wins.

George sounds great, but shouldn't it be "Mrs. Jones and I?"

Do you really believe that Diana has more talent than Fantasia? Honestly?

Thanks for the ping, Howlin. I like both girls, but expect Fantasia to win. I like Diana a bit better than Fantasia, but it may actually be better for the kid if she comes in 2nd. She's extraordinarily talented, and at 16, can pretty much write her own ticket. But she may actually benefit by not having the pressure of winning put on her very young shoulders.

I heard that her sound device was messing up last night. She was walking around the stage trying to find a spot where it would work.
If I were cynical, I'd smell something fishy about that.

That about sums up the Leftist rant if Diana wins. Elton John will follow Albore into an unglued state of mind. And the American people will be branded racists because shudder a black girl finished second in a talent show and became rich and famous.

Okay, I saw George sing. That's the only thing I care about except who wins, so I'll turn off the TV now (or maybe switch over to you know what, Howlin) and turn it back on at 9:55. Good luck Diana!

Thanks for the ping.
I am going to resist as best I can reading the thread until later to avoid a spoiler before it airs here.

I don't think it's a question of which girl has more talent than the other. At nearly 20, and already a single mom, Fantasia is more mature and has more life experiences from which to draw. She's a more polished entertainer. Diana is a smashingly talented 16-year-old high school kid. I think that's the difference between the two. In their time of life, the age difference does matter.

Fantasia's voice irritates me. She is the better performer, however.
