OK, I have never watched an episode of American Idol, ever. But since everyone's talking about it, and there's a Tarheel finalist FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW, I thought I'd check it out. I heard Diana sing and I heard Fantasia (Carolina girl!) sing. That I may be biased towards my own state notwithstanding, and the fact that neither one of them are very good singers to begin with notwithstanding, I think Fantasia has more potential to be a really good singer than Diana. The song Diana sang is beyond her vocal capabilities and it shows; her voice just isn't powerful enough for that type of song. Both of them went a little off key, but that's understandable.
FANTASIA WON IT!

You may not like "the style" but don't say she can't sing. She can't sing. She screams. Her voice is grating and nasaly. Even you would have to admit that. You can't possibly enjoy listening to it.
I'm a musician. I know singing and I know she can't do it. Bob Dylan sings better than Fantasia.
