evolutionists in denial?

"We do not expect to ever find any Australopithicus, Ardipithecus, or Kenyanthropus fossils in Australia, North America, South America, Antarctica, Siberia, or on any oceanic islands removed from Africa. Any such findings would be catastrophically problematic for the theory of common descent."

KEYWORDS: cluebie; creationism; evolution; knownothingtwit; science
Hmmm, sounds to me like evolutionists do not want to cover every possibility. Isn't that the point of science? Cover EVERYTHING. When looking at the facts, not half-truths and lies (from both creationists and evolutionists) evolution is undeniably wrong. Scientists will surely find Ardipithecus, and the other early humans on other continents, they just don't want to because it will, as done many times already, prove evolution obviously false. Evolution is wrong, as many theories of the past. Science and scientists needs to swallow its pride (or whatever is causing them to believe so foolishly in it) and move on and look for other answers.

What's the problem? This seems like they just didn't think the pre-humans could swim that far.

So, if not evolution, then what? Natural selection? (Between what?) Creationism? (By what?) Spontaneous appearance? (From where?) Alien intervention?

Hmmm, sounds to me like evolutionists do not want to cover every possibility. Isn't that the point of science? Cover EVERYTHING. No, that's not the point of science. If such were the case, then science would be lost in a mishmash of silly tangents like trying to determine if Cool Whip is a good insulator or whether snot is a viable replacement for gasoline.
The function of science is to deduce facts and construct theories on those facts that can accurate predict or explain certain phenomena. That's all. It's not meant to cover everything. That's impossible.
All the same, let's look at the passage you quote:
"We do not expect to ever find any Australopithicus, Ardipithecus, or Kenyanthropus fossils in Australia, North America, South America, Antarctica, Siberia, or on any oceanic islands removed from Africa...
That's not an unreasonable statement. That's like me saying that I don't expect to find a wombat in my living room. It's not saying that there hasn't been or won't ever be one there...it's just that I wouldn't expect to ever find one there.
...Any such findings would be catastrophically problematic for the theory of common descent."
True enough. This is true of any theory when it cannot predict or explain scientific findings.
I guess I'm not seeing what the problem is here...

Both creationists and evolutioners have been admirably successful in proving each other wrong. I'm leaning toward consciousness pushing into gross material forms and becoming trapped therein. I can buy
spiritual evolution.

Shouldn't the continents still have been one big one back then? The Super-Continent broke up before the end of the reign of the dinosaurs. Mammals arose near the end of the dinosaurs. Humans didn't enter the picture for a long time after that.

Shouldn't the continents still have been one big one back then? No, the time scale is different on the order of millions of years.

I was being facetious, and more than a little irreverent.
This is a loose-loose debate and I will not engage in it.
Alternatives to 'It's in the Bible so it must be truth' are discounted out-of-hand because it's not in the Bible.
Circular reasoning. No more convincing to the uninitiated than dissertations on geology and the existence of the universe as it is observed.
You are welcome to your beliefs as I am to mine. I'm not after converts.

See my reply #12.
I don't mind enlightened alternatives or original thought. As a matter of fact I expect them. Especially from myself.

I agree with your post #5 and it was very well put.

You asked a question I gave you my opinion don't complain about it.
I also gave you two links to have a look at, if you wish to do so. There is plenty of good "scientific" evidence to back up the Holy Bible Creation account. Whether you believe it is up to you.

You obviously didn't see any humor in my 'questions'.
There are as many creation theories as there are religions/cultures on the face of the Earth. Your's holds no more scientific fact than the Navajos (Dine) of the Southwestern US or the Hindus of India.
Get over yourself.
