If Diana doesn't win, I'll know the whole thing is fixed.

I've been laughing my butt off over this issue. The whiners are about as bad as Florida Democrats.

This certainly must count as one of the most serious puzzlements facing mankind since the selection of Richard the Fey as the winner of the original "Survivor."

Hawaii is in a time zone several zones away from the Mainland... when AI finishes airing their, they have no trouble getting through to vote for thier state favorite, Jasmine Trias... and very few votes for the other candidates.

Thus Trias voters in Hawaii get no busy signals and Jasmine gets a huge boost in votes.

The whole voting process is flawed.

This could be fixed by having the audience vote FOR THE WORST SINGER... the one to leave the show... instead of voting for their favorite.

Actually, the network has addressed that rumor and have stated that voters in Hawaii only have two hours like any other location. They also provided information, which they claim to have gotten from the telecom people, that only 1.3 million votes came from Hawaii...not nearly enough to effect the outcome even if they were all for the same person.

But as the show speeds toward its May 26 conclusion with three songbirds left, the 40-year-old Pennsylvania homemaker couldn't care less about the outcome. A Clay Aiken fan, she lost faith in the process after making a shocking discovery last year: No matter how often she tried, she couldn't place her vote.

All they did was test the capacity of the telephone voting system. It took slightly less time to say "Thank you for voting for Ruben Studdard" than it did to say "Thank you for voting for Clay Aiken" giving Ruben the edge.

The real vote came later when Aiken's records outsold Studdard's by three and four to one margins.

Yes, this really is an outrage. Are they even letting noncitizens vote?

I rarely watch American Idol, but have followed the "drama" on the news. Do the voters call into a 900 number, where they actually pay to cast a vote?

If so, get rid of the public voting, and let the three obnoxious pundits who give their opinions, ad nauseum, make the final decisions. Sound to me like it's all about the $$$s.

No, they're 800 numbers. Toll-free. If you vote by text messaging, you pay the usual rate though for whatever plan you've got with AT&T. (Usually ten cents a shot.)

Just an 800 number.

The wife and are started watching the show following the Lady Elton John charges of racism. We're avide watchers now...it's too funny.

A 15 year old boy getting death threats because someone else's favorite was kicked of instead of them. People complaining that no talent contestants remain when better contestants leave.

It's kind of like watching the last Reform Party convention with an MTV twist.

I am not saying they have more than two hours... they have two hours all by themselves to vote!

They may have only two hours to vote BUT their two hours do not overlap anyother times zones two hours... no competition to get through.

1.3 million votes (with say, 90% for Jasmine) could certainly change the bottom two when added to the other votes.

Oh NO! This calls for an investigation and at least one Congressional commission! With all that is happening in our world, this is what has people upset!
