Very pretty, and peaceful - thanks for the beauty.

Yes, and we can blame it on Medicare. Before Medicare, families kept their parents or grandparents at home as long as they could possibly take care of them. And if they could not, they had to place them in private facilities. You better believe they got excellent care, because the families were paying out of their own pockets. Now, I know so many people who couldn't care less if their family member was being cared for. In fact, they only visit once a month to berate the staff.
Sad.
To: Conservababe
they had to place them in private facilities.Or the county "Poor House"....I've seen those kind of places...
And Medicare doesn't pay for long term care..You have to pay for that with private insurance or out of your own pocket....Keep a pistol handy to avoid that kind of situation.....

Oh Westy, men are so inconsiderate.....just leaving a mess for others to clean up. I much prefer a few pills and a highball or carbon monoxide to do myself in, if necessary, rather than a pistol.

I was referring to the method you have chosen to do away with yourself...blood and gore, you know. And a woman would probably have to clean it up.
As a woman, I would be more considerate and just leave as little mess as possible.
LOL
To: Conservababe
Okay, but if I'm laying someplace with say, a broken hip, I won't have access to pills and a drink or carbon monoxide..Gotta look at it from a practical point of view...again IMHO.....

No, you couldn't use your pistol. You just purchased a new scooter. You are probably so tight that you would have to heal up to get your money's worth out of it before saying goodbye world. LOL
Seriously, you need one of those alert thingees that you wear like a cell phone on your belt. You just press the button for help if you would find yourself in such a situation.
To: Conservababe
I dialed 911 once when I'd fallen.....That was a big mistake..Once the Fire Dept. got there I lost all control over my life...Never again.....As far as the scooter goes, the only ones who loses from my having it, is my heirs and they have already lost what it cost...

I love Lobsters, so I would probably like crawfish.
My daughter loved them when she lived in Texas.

Can you believe the sun's out for awhile? I should have stayed in Fl. for an extra month. I've accomplished nothing outside. Luckily Al has. Well.. the pool's open.. lol, but I wouldn't want to hold my breath waiting for it to be warm enough to go in..
Just ordered yards of fabric to make three rooms of curtains, but you know that the heat will set in once it gets delivered... :(

Westy.. that river walk you have there is just gorgeous. What a sight. You are lucky to have something like that for your scooter. I'll bet you just love it.
