Prophet Mohammed Was A Lunatic, Just Like Al-Sadr

If you want to understand the roots of the violence in Iraq, you need to go to the very begining. The violent cult that was founded by Mohammed in the 7th century, teaches Muslims to hate non-Muslims, for any reason, or for no reason at all.
It is notable that many leaders in Muslim countries over the years, have always claimed descent from Prophet Mohammed. Kings like Hussein of Jordan and Hassan of Morrocco, claimed to be direct descendants of the prophet. Almost every prominent Islamic cleric makes the same claim. So do the Kings of Saudi Arabia, and the other royal families of the Middle East.
Saddam Hussein had for years claimed to be a descendant of the prophet, but that claim was recently discovered to be false. But that does not matter. Saddam, in his genocidal lunancy, is certainly a spiritual son of the mad prophet Mohammed.
Until the sick cult of Islam is abolished in the Middle East, and the fanaticism inherited from the mad prophet Mohammed is rejected, democracy can never work in the Middle East.

I would rather live in a socialist government, than live in an Islamic government. Do you know what happens to non-Muslims in Islamic states?
The same thing that happens to Christians and freedom lovers in a communist state? Oh...you did say socialist. Still, in a commie-light (socialist) states the same thing will happen. Just let the commie light states get a few more years under their belt to really get in touch with their "roots".
I think the choice between living in an islamic state and a socialist state is like choosing between being dropped in boiling oil or molten lava. Both are going to leave a mark.

When surveyed, it was found the chief factor that turned ex-muslims into converts was actually reading the Koran. Unfortunately the majority of muslims have never read the Koran because the majority of muslims are illiterate.

Yeah...Mohammed was a nut case. But these poor b@stards can't hate themselves for still living in the 7th century so they gotta go and hate everybody else. Snuff out Islam and save the world.

Wonderful concise post. I like it.

I know a number of atheists and agnostics who claim to have based their lack of faith on a close reading of the Bible, the Book of Mormon or Mary Baker Eddy's Science and Health with a Key to the Scriptures. I would expect reading the Koran might similarly affect some readers.

[Islam} has lived off the decaying corpses of the civilizations it has destroyed. It is a vast, ancient sea of corruption, oppression, fanaticism, and ignorance lapping up against the shores of the present, kept alive by the fortuitous accident of living above huge reserves of petroleum. Great way of putting it. And absolutely true.

This seems to me unavoidable. Islam has a 1,500 year record of violence, aggression, and enslavement of its enemies.
These behavior patterns can be traced right back to the beginning. Muhammed was nothing like Jesus or any Jewish prophet. He carried a sword, he married multiple wives including a little girl, he took slaves, he broke his solemn oath. He did many things that not even a virtuous pagan could approve. And he did it in the name of Allah.

Mahomet ... was also a pedophile, having married one of his wives when she was 6 or so and having consummated the marraige when she was 9! Well, honestly, she looked at least 11!

"Why, then, are the liberal press continuing to call al-Sadr a "cleric?" He's clearly a radical and, if so, obviously not representative of true Islam. Therefore, he can't *really* be a "cleric.""
Actually ultra religious people have traditionally been among the most radical people of any society. Anyone who can convince people to kill, or die in the name of God has to be considered pretty radical. Jim Jones, David Koresh, or just about any cult leader you can think of, all clerics of one sort or another, and all radical in a very insane way.

When you remove the plagiarized Biblical references from the Koran, all you have left are the drug-induced rantings of a cave dwelling arab.

Islam has two main sects, Shias and Sunnis. The Shias say the Sunnis are fake muslims, the Sunnis say the Shias are fake muslims. Therefore there are are no real muslims, they are all fake.
To: pinochet
Your radical fundamentalism against Muslims is the same as Osama's and Al-Sadr's radical fundamentalism against non-Muslims.
One and the same .

"It is ... kept alive by the fortuitous accident of living above huge reserves of petroleum."And despite that liquid gold, most common people still have a 13th century standard of living.
To: DCPatriot
Sir, you unfairly malign the 13th century, one of increased productivity and trade in Europe and a rising standard of living (cut short by the world cooling and the Black Death in the 14th century). Islam has never emerged from the depths of the Dark Ages in which it has been mired since its founding.

Yes, but Christians do not claim Jim Jones and David Koresh as brothers in the faith. We condemn their actions. We don't rationalize for them.
To: mrsmith
Demonize whom to who? It is obvious to the most casual observer that muslims are out to convince the world that THEY are demons; their daily stupid muslim death tricks clearly demonstrate this fact. They are out to separate themselves from all who don't accept the false god allah and do not follow their koran which contains unequivocal instructions to kill all infidels.
I'm considered an infidel by islam because I'm a Christian; they want to kill me. I don't see a boon for ANYbody, because atheists, however "holier than thou" they think they are (same stupidity as exhibited by liberals), are on the same islamic target list!
duh!

But I've read that the Middle East was a leader in mathemetics and science at one time.
Until Mohammed put the kabosh on it...ala Cambodia's Pol Pot, who would summarily execute a person for the "crime" of owning eye glasses.

Some do, most don't. There are as many varieties of Christianity as there are of Islam.
