Oh, I forgot! You only use 2 and a half cups of flour in the original mix...save the other cup or more for dusting and adding as needed...does that make sense?
The ingredients you should mix first should be
2 and a half cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp instant yeast.

Not sure if I'm selling. But it's a really, really nice one. A Collings...stupid nice...much nicer than any mere mortal like myself needs. I kinda can't believe I bought it...but I had the money at the time and no responsibilities, and it's really middle of the road compared to SOME of the stuff out there...you can go really crazy if you don't care how much you spend. Still kind of embarrassing to admit I have a guitar this good, though.
I paid quite a bit less than they're asking for this one (they've gone up a lot in value in the last few years), but this is like mine:
http://www.buffalobrosguitars.com/buffalobros-12-01-03/collings-om1-ngb10191/index.htm Doesn't LOOK all that fancy, but it sounds absolutely incredible. Just shimmers...and it's very easy to play.
But it's really kind of self indulgent to have something this nice...like owning a Ferrari that you only take out a couple times a year.
Can you tell I'm going back and forth and back and forth on this?
But obviously...since it IS worth so much, if I sold it I could get something at least as nice as my mando is and still have lots left over to pay off Van-sama and heating bills and even fix my windshield. So it's the logical thing to do. But I'll likely never be able to afford a guitar like this again. On the other hand...does that matter? Probably not.
I's such an irresponsible yout...

Note the correction!!
2.5 c whole wheat flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp instant yeast
That extra cup of flour is for how variable the mix can be, you know...most breads are that way...
This is a very easy recipe...
Got a hen bocking up a storm...somebody has laid an egg!

Most breads are pretty easy! That's what I like about it. And it's fun trying different things...adding raisins or oatmeal or different sweeteners or different types of flour...

Those are PURTY, too, IMO. One of the nicest looking vehicles out there.
I'm gettin' one...in about five years when there are some good used ones out there.

We were supposed to get snow starting about 4 this morning, but we've got LOTS of sunshine this morning and nary a flake! It's chilly and windy, though.

Oh, and I loosely covered the bread with foil till about 10 minutes before it was done...that kept it from getting too brown on top.
I let mine rise for an hour in the oven that I'd warmed up...

But it's really kind of self indulgent to have something this nice...like owning a Ferrari that you only take out a couple times a year. Yeah, I know what you mean. SSQ has a Martin D20 that he bought in 1972 with his college loan money! That sucker is worth more than his car at this point, but that's not saying much. He has a 1991 Ford Crown Vic.! LOL!
He loves it, though, and enjoys it tremendously when he pulls it out to play. Makes gorgeous bell tones!

I've always had trouble with whole wheat breads...if they didn't have some all-purpose, they didn't seem to ever rise.
But this one just did great! I doubt I'll ever buy bread again!
I used Bob's Red Mill whole wheat flour...good stuff, has a fine texture.

Now you just need to learn how to make bagels. ;-)
Dad used to make 'em all the time. We just buy them now as there's a shop locally that isn't too expensive, but they aren't all THAT hard to make.

D-28, maybe?
Yeah...good, quality instruments are wonderful to have. But then...my mandolin is a good, quality instrument, and it's not worth half as much as the guitar. And I could get a good, quality, but not QUITE as fancy (i.e. factory-built as opposed to small shop built) guitar for less than half of what I could get for the Collings.
Give me another couple weeks or a month...maybe I'll talk myself into this.
