Not sure if I'm selling. But it's a really, really nice one. A Collings...stupid nice...much nicer than any mere mortal like myself needs. I kinda can't believe I bought it...but I had the money at the time and no responsibilities, and it's really middle of the road compared to SOME of the stuff out there...you can go really crazy if you don't care how much you spend. Still kind of embarrassing to admit I have a guitar this good, though.
I paid quite a bit less than they're asking for this one (they've gone up a lot in value in the last few years), but this is like mine:
http://www.buffalobrosguitars.com/buffalobros-12-01-03/collings-om1-ngb10191/index.htm Doesn't LOOK all that fancy, but it sounds absolutely incredible. Just shimmers...and it's very easy to play.
But it's really kind of self indulgent to have something this nice...like owning a Ferrari that you only take out a couple times a year.
Can you tell I'm going back and forth and back and forth on this?
But obviously...since it IS worth so much, if I sold it I could get something at least as nice as my mando is and still have lots left over to pay off Van-sama and heating bills and even fix my windshield. So it's the logical thing to do. But I'll likely never be able to afford a guitar like this again. On the other hand...does that matter? Probably not.
I's such an irresponsible yout...

SSQ has a Martin D20 that he bought in 1972 with his college loan money! That sucker is worth more than his car at this point, but that's not saying much. He has a 1991 Ford Crown Vic.! LOL!
He loves it, though, and enjoys it tremendously when he pulls it out to play. Makes gorgeous bell tones!
