The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...
Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
But not yet weary are our feet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I don't take iron for anything. I never have. I don't know why but I'm even one of the few women who have not even been anemic during pregnancy. So, I don't know, it hasn't been an issue for me.
For the tea.... you know where you get the Tension Tamer - there is the other one - Mood Mender. I use one bag of each kind of tea in the teapot and steep them together. That seems to be about 5 times as effective as drinking either of them singly. And this remedy also works for my 18 year old daughter who has PMS much worse than I ever have. She is really in misery for more than one day. But, that mixture gives her some relief. She isn't as good about drinking water either though.

Some people have told me that when a rough-around-the-edges guy does something like that it has an extra impact because it's unexpected. Do you agree with that?Yes!!! The first time he did that we hadn't even really been dating that long. We'd been talking about childhood and I'd told him I studied ballet and still loved to go. Just a conversation... went to a new topic... Lo and Behold a few weeks later he tells me to get dressed up because he's taking me to Dallas to a nice restaurant! And he took me to the ballet!!! Surprised me!!! It was unreal!!!

Thanks for the info on the Mood Mender--didn't know about that one 'cause I just drink the Tension Tamer. I guess that company makes a number of herbal teas, though.

I guess that company makes a number of herbal teas, though.Yeah! Lots!! My favorite of their teas is not medicinal. Morning Thunder. Is made with black tea and mate. I love mate. That tea is the perfect blend!

Well, it's getting late here, so I've gotta get to bed. Thanks for sharing all the great info--I will definitely keep that in mind. Have a good night!

Just woke up and can't go back to sleep. Said a prayer earlier today for Corin's mom. I'll say another now, and in the morning...
Prayer is an awesome thing.

Good morning! Happy Friday, indeed!
Now if I can just accomplish something today so I feel like I deserve a weekend...last few days have been a lot of running in place. *sigh*
