President Bush traveled to New York today to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Nassau County 9/11 Memorial in Eisenhower Park, Long Island, being built in memory of the 281 residents of Nassau County who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks, and visited with families of the victims. Before he left, he made a statement to the press regarding the terrorist attack in Madrid, Spain.
He also visited USA Industries, an automotive parts manufacturing company in Bay Shore, New York, and spoke to workers about the economy and jobs training. He then attended a fund raiser with Rudy Giuliani and Governor Pataki.
There are lots of fabulous pictures today, so enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose !!

Yeah IIRC a few yrs back GWB had this very same thing, had a few little problem spots removed from his face. *hugs from me and the kiddos* Here's hoping all goes well.

Why is this in chat? It usually is in news/activism.
Please change it. Thanks!

Well, they are achey. I think that's normal since I've been eating more food. :-) I'm almost afraid to say it but I think my lip and chin are getting less numb, THANK GOD! I bit my lip three times eating a hamburger today. It was worth it to eat REAL food! :-) But after the third time, I quit eating. My family was laughing hysterically at me!
Had a busy few days and overdid a little; have a heck of a headache now so going to bed early.
Thanks for asking!

Anyone know what they are all shoveling in those pictures in
Post 28.
My first thought when I saw them was large piles of manure from the other party.

I've thought of it both ways, too. It's just so scary all of the sudden again after the attack on Spain . . . guess I thought they were one of the countries where it wouldn't happen . . . I just think of all the ways we're so vulnerable . . .
Thank God GWB is the President right now, as we can be confident he is doing absolutely everything possible to prevent any more attacks. And if, God forbid, something does happen, he will be the man in the right place to help us through it again.

***he don't need no stinking plastic surgery.***
Is he going to let them give him any pain killer, or just have a slug of whiskey and bite on a bullet? :-)

#27...Basal cell is usually easily treatable.
It's the most common type of skin cancer.
It usually only takes a couple minutes to burn it off or, I guess, in some cases, cut it out.
Basal cell usually means it hasn't gotten very far below the top layer of skin.
Living in Florida for almost 30 years, I've had a few basal cell myself, and they healed so nicely, you can't even see scars.
I hope this helps.

Can he have them preserve what they take off and send it to a doc you know and trust to check it out and make sure that's what it is?
You can always "make" him go to someone when he gets back, too, just to double check.

Ow! He must have really impacted those nerves to have numbness this long. You will just have to be careful when chewing until it fully resolves.
Get some rest. It takes time to heal up.

Just heard Tom Brocoward on NBC, when he reported about the
Lindauer spy for Iraq. A few words and included she is a
cousin to Andy Card. Why did I know he was going to play it
that way. Didn't hear anything about her working for
Carol Mosley Brown and other Democrats.
And another thing, the Democrats will say what happened in
Spain -- the trains just jumped the tracks.
